I had played this course many times in previous years, but I never had seen it in this kind of shape. Photo submitted by photorick1010 on 07/25/2014

The only thing worth making a positive comment on was on for this round was the beer girl. Photo submitted by photorick1010 on 07/25/2014
Nice course but greens could improve
I played this course for the first time and enjoyed the newness & layout. If you are a beginner golfer, it would be a tough course to play with the slopes & water. We enjoyed that part of it. The greens were in poor shape, and since we paid over $50 each, we expect more. We are S FL residents so that is why!
Plenty of other courses to play
Course was fine and a good layout to challenge the advanced and fair enough for beginners. However I was kicked off the course at 5:00 because it was “unsafe.” So if you want to play later in the day and enjoy the full sunset, DONT PLAY HERE!!!!!!
cart fees
I chated with Golf now and they garanteed me that if I reserve for 1 golfer with car that I would have my own cart, I needed to pay an extra 15$ for it. Was really unhappy
Cost effective
We got good value for what we paid. Finished in 3.5 hours.
NOT REAL GOLF
Not sure how this place is classified as a golf course. Played at 7:15am so pace of play was great and that is the only positive. Sure, I get the new regulation that 2 strangers can ride in the same cart, but during a world wide pandemic, seems irresponsible and questionable at best. Paid the $15 required to ride solo. Greens are an absolute joke. Placing holes on the sides of severe slopes and in the middle of dirt (yes, greens are filled with dirt, native grass, and down right unplayable), truly runs the enjoyment of golf. I am a 10 handicap and would not recommend this course to anyone below a 20 handicap. If you want to play an oversized mini golf course in the worst condition I have ever seen, this is your spot.
Davie Golf Course
Course is always maintained and worth the money.
Greens were rolling really nice. I took a client there with me so it was his first time playing there. We both enjoyed.
Challenging Course - Friendly to Higher Handicappers
A fun challenging course with picturesque wetlands, mature trees and hills. Friendly forward tees for ssniors and women. Indulating greens add to the challenge.
Windy and Challenging
I like this course. It calls for all the facets of your game. You need some length on certain holes and shot-making abilities on others. When it's windy, trouble is almost everywhere.
Play This Course!
While not glamorous this course is very challenging. The conditions are above average but there are some areas that need a bit of care. Lost of water and the undulating greens crazy. We played on a Saturday and the round was just under 4 hours. Pace can slow down as people spend to much time looking in the deep rough for balls. The course is rarely flat with challenging fairways and multi tiered greens. For the price it is a great value.
Davie will eat your lunch
Glance at the scorecard at Davie Golf Club and at 6400 yards from the tips, 5900 from the silver tees, it doesn’t inspire fear. Once you get on the greens, that’s when the fear starts.
The greens are small and wavy.. it’s not enough to merely reach the green on your approach shot,, if you’re ion the right spot, three putts are a forgone conclusion, with the possibility of the dreaded fourbanger lurking in the back of your golf brain. Thea like goodness they keep them rolling slow, if they didn’t it would be 6 hour long rounds of golf. Trust me, it’s a blessing.
Off the tee things seem open, but the hazards, bunkers, water, swamp, seemingly have golf ball magnets. The landing areas are far narrower than they seem, it’s a lesson you’ll learn the hard way.
Davie feeds off your ego. Take an extra club, it’s farther than you think. And the greens are elevated. And the wind is blowing harder than you think.
And then there’s the back nine. Two big par 4’s over 430 with danger off the tee. A big par 5. Two long par 3’s. . Even the 301 yard 12th has a decent water carry off the tee, a fairway that punches close to green, water up the entire side and a heavily bunkered raised green. Hit an iron off the tee.
Overall, great layout, crazy greens, dumbed dow a bit for mere mortals. They aren’t always in great shape, but hey it’s a muni, and for $30 a great layout, good staff, a practice area, a few rough greens and a bit of slow play is a small price to pay.
Horrible Experience
I came expecting the greens to be in good condition based on reviews and that was not the case. The entire course was in horrible condition. You have to cross a busy road with your cart that is very dangerous. It’s owned by the city so maybe that’s why it’s so bad. I’ll never play this course again. Ever.
