Jensen Beach Golf Club

Very difficult course, made more so by high winds the day I played. Some long forced carries; some blind tee shots; water/brush/swamp creeping in to narrow landing areas.

Although the Bermuda greens were in good shape, the fairways were crap – weeds sticking up all over the place (and the tees weren’t much better). Also, the front nine’s bunkers had that heavy, thick, deep sand that’s tough to hit out of. Most of the back nine bunkers had no sand at all, and looked like asphalt road surface.

The pro shop had no product on the shelves. The guy behind the counter said the prior operator quit suddenly under shaky circumstances and took everything with him. (This operations crisis may have something to do with the crap condition of the fairways.)

Combine all that with the fact that I didn’t have my A-game (or even my B-game) and lost 8 balls, and you get a not-so-good experience.

This was my first time at Eagle Marsh and will probably be my last.

This has always been one of our favorite courses, however we haven't played here in over a month and the condition of the course has severely gone down hill especially the fairways and today the pace of play was exceedingly slow.

The course needs some maintenance but was very playable.

Booked a tee time through golf now. Called in the day before to confirm they were open after reading a bad review. DO NOT PLAY HERE. Course has not been maintained for about a month. Even down to the fairways not being cut in over two weeks and zero maintenance done in the last month. They only had 20 carts total and greens were burnt out, very long and bumpy. Course has changed management hands so might be better after a lot of maintenance is done.

Management scandal rocked course. Today course in HORRIBLE shape. Old owner has reclaimed property but needs a few months to recondition. It used to be a very nice course.

Course has been neglected for over a month. Fairways have not been mowed in over 2 weeks due to a management change. They only have 20 carts total and nothing in the pro shop or anything on the course. They should not be taking tee times nor should Golf Now be selling Tee times. Very upset with the whole situation

Okay, those are terrible reviews and probably unjustified. However, I made a tee time 3 of my buddies and me (they were from out of town) for a Saturday round of golf. We pull up to the gate and the guard tells us the course has been closed for 9 days! Are you kidding me??

Golf or never told me they were closed, but they took my $$ even though the course had been closed when my reservation was made. Not Happy. So now I have the four of us in a car at 1230 on a Saturday trying to find a place to play.

Ended up at a less than desirable course and tried to make the best of it.

I’m very disappointed and would like to hear back from a rep from Golf now

We play here often, the greens are fast but true and the course has some very challenging holes.

I should have played from the senior tees. It is fairer from the senior tees than from the white tees.

I wanted to play with other people but they chose to decline so I went out alone. That, in itself, caused me to wait on almost every shot. In fairness to the group in front of me they also were held up a slow playing 3 some. Playing this course for the first time made it difficult because local knowledge is huge regarding hazards not really visible. The conditions are OK, fairways more crab grass but playing the ball up remedies that. The greens are very puttable and roll pretty good. I paid $35 and had a good time so I will return but won’ Be playing alone. The staff were great and the gentleman who took care of me at the bag drop was really great. When he found out I had never played there before he provided me a course yardage booklet and advice on tee selection. You’ll like it here.

Good value for the money. Greens are fast and true, hold pretty well and a nice challenge. Overall the course is in good shape, LOTS of water, marshes and great approach shots over water. Pace of play is good and the staff is friendly.

Used to be in good shape, that has changed. Hardpan in fairways, areas around greens visibly distressed. Just not enjoyable to play anymore.

I got the chance to go out early today and was greeted by Russell who was very friendly and was able to get me off early

The course was in good condition and is definitely a place I will play again

Wonderful day out on the course. Lots of good challenges and perfect conditions.

Second round here in one week. Not crowded in PM even on Sat in peak season. Set up for club tourney so very fast and firm with super hard pin placements. Certainly not private club quality maintenance but very good for the most part for an affordable and accessible public track. Range balls are rocks, tee boxes fair, fairways pretty thin with locks of Florida roll. Houses abound but not crowded. Overall a pleasant, moderately challenging course if you not too picky.

This is a challenging course in good condition. Lots of natural beauty. Nice practice area.
