Pace of play here is awful. First time through they said a large group of ladies was in front of us and it was almost 5 hours second round it was 3 hours for 9 and we walked off. Ranger told us nothing he can do.

So many golf courses in the area and this one is alone in the 5 hours plus rounds.

Gps on carts is inactive so that’s disappointing. Just a disappointment of a golf course.

Except for recently sanded greens, the course was in excellent condition. Great golf course with 4 or 5 very difficult holes but overall a pleasantly challenging afternoon. Large bar area with ice cold beer if that's of interest.

Tee boxes in awful shape and greens in only fair shape. If you don't know the course be prepared for a some lost balls on even good shots. Golf cart GPS gave a good look at hole layout but was unable to give distances as it was not fully functional. It could be a real fun course but only once you've gained some course knowledge. Tough for first timers.

Really like the course layout. Strategy required. Don't always need a driver.

Nice to see this course getting more play.

Pace of play was awful Thursday. On pace for nearly 6 hour round. Several players behind us left the course as did I after 11 holes. I know we have an aging population this time of year but failing to keep pace will run other golfers off. Got to find a balance.

This course presents challenges on each hole and natral beauty. The variety of tees allow drastically different rriunds of golf to be experienced. No refreshment cart but great bar at club house. Excellent warm up areas. Perfect speed of play.

Most of the courses in this 20 mile area were pretty much the same. This seemed to be a better layout than all the others. The only problem we had was with my wife who had a hard time flying over the many marshes. If you weren’t right up to the marsh you would need at least a 110 yd hit in the air to clear the marsh. I wish I had played the white tees, much better views, only around 6000 yds. Really enjoyed our round.

Course was a good challenge with plenty of hazards and very quick greens. One of the best courses in the area.

As a senior, I played from the White tees which shortens the course and makes it more playable. Back tees are probably much more challenging. Holes have generous landing areas. Greens rolled well.

We have played this course before. On this day the pace of play was very slow. We called the pro shop and they did nothing.

We played the front nine twice. The second nine was much more enjoyable than the first.

Having driven by Eagle Marsh a few times on US-1, I decided to head down for a round this past Monday. This Tommy Fazio design seems to be trying to come out of a period of struggle, and is under new ownership (per a sign in the pro shop) as of a few months ago. There does seem to be some work going on in the form of renovated tee boxes on a couple holes on the front, and new white sand in some bunkers on the back.

As for the course, it's a challenge that is aptly named. Wetlands come into play on many holes, and there are a bunch of forced carries. Definitely err on the side of playing it forward here and you'll have a good time. I was impressed by how nicely the greens rolled, and wish the new owners all the best going forward.

I would definitely suggest senior tees for novices and/or seniors.

Eagle marsh is Florida golfing at it's best. The course offers a variety of course lengths and awesome challenges. The greens are very challenging and well maintained. The course is surrounded in marsh. The bar is very nice for drink drink and chat. The practise areas are excellent. Small word of advice is to hit them straight. The challenges for the experienced glofer are many.
