About
Cypress Lakes Country Club is the centerpiece of the Ormond community, a neighborhood of more than 500 homes. Blending seamlessly into the surrounding cypress trees, the golf course is both challenging and scenic. You'll have to navigate your way around 17 different ponds that come into play throughout the course. With several forced carries over wetlands, it will feel like there is water at every turn. There are also 40 strategically placed bunkers bordering the greens and fairways. It's a layout that will test your accuracy and ability to strategize. Multiple sets of tees keep scratch golfers happy while beginners can also approach the course with confidence. In addition to the golf course, Cypress Lakes has a practice facility featuring a 400-yard driving range with multiple targets and putting and chipping greens.

Construction in Progress
The course is fun layout and greens were in good condition. Two holes 9 and 10 along with the driving range closed due to irrigation projects underway. Renovations area ongoing in the club area so no bar area. I'll give it some time before I return.
Buthered greens
usally the course is awesome but this time whoever cut the greens need to stay off the mower. they were uneven and buthered. this is one of my favorite courses to play.
Inconsistent upkeep
Only played here since my dad is a member. Greens on the front 9 were slow as molasses. Some greens were faster than others on the back 9 which wasn’t fun. Hit #1 fairway and lie looked like I was in the rough. Will not be back until the course is in better shape.
Cypress Lakes
Course is in good condition, most greens are nice just a little slow. Work is starting on a big irrigation project which is going to help tremendously. Staff is super friendly and pace of play was no problem.
Great time.
Obviously the club house is under construction but the employees were awesome!! The fairways were a little fl lie condition, but with recent raining it is expected. The greens the really slow. That is only bad thing.
Average
Greens were rolling slower than my carpet. They were so thick you couldn’t feel the thatch and roots under the turf (time to verticut). Had to take putter to my knees for a ten foot roll.
Quick 18 at Cypress Lakes
Been raining every day so I made an early tee time. While the course was a little wet it was 90 degree rules. Fairway grass was a little high due to the rains but crews were out cutting. Rough is thick so better hit the short grass. Most greens are in pretty good shape. Pace of play was fast, only had a few groups ahead.
Great price fun course
Great staff. Fun layout. Greens are really good. Bunkers are in the works.
Got a cover some distance
Course is a good course to play must drive off the tees to cut down the yards. Greens are good towards the end of the season.
Forgot it was Ormand
I didn’t like it when I played it as Ormand. Didn’t realize it was the same course under different name. Driving range closed. The only water on the course was the ponds and the rain water. No drinking water. No cart person. Restaurant didn’t open until later in day. They were redoing sand traps and wouldn’t get out of way. All in all not a good experience. Will not come back.
Good value for money
Course in good shape. Greens look nice, but roll slow as molasses. If you like slow @$$ greens, this is the course for you.
Enjoyable round
Despite the heat, it was an enjoyable round at CL. Greens were pretty good, fairways nice, and rough fair. Saw plenty of workers tending to the course; bunkers need some work.
Big Improvements
Course has made tremendous strides over the past couple months. Best greens I’ve played locally this year. Can definitely see the efforts of the staff with improved bunkers, greens, and clean fairways.
Enjoyable round
First time back at Cypress Lakes in a few months. Greens have come around nicely, they were pretty bad earlier this year but the staff has done an awesome job bringing them back. Rolled true but just a little slow. Pace of play was great of course it was the middle of the day and hot. Will be back soon.
Cypress Lakes golf
Course was in good shape with very little pondinf from all the rain lately.
Friendly staff, good food and cold beer.
