About
Cypress Lakes Country Club is the centerpiece of the Ormond community, a neighborhood of more than 500 homes. Blending seamlessly into the surrounding cypress trees, the golf course is both challenging and scenic. You'll have to navigate your way around 17 different ponds that come into play throughout the course. With several forced carries over wetlands, it will feel like there is water at every turn. There are also 40 strategically placed bunkers bordering the greens and fairways. It's a layout that will test your accuracy and ability to strategize. Multiple sets of tees keep scratch golfers happy while beginners can also approach the course with confidence. In addition to the golf course, Cypress Lakes has a practice facility featuring a 400-yard driving range with multiple targets and putting and chipping greens.

Recovering from renovations.
New sprinkler system and green work need time to repair. Lors of water. Challenging!
Great layout, bad greens
Work is being performed on the course. Greens are in horrible shape. An option for a refund or a rain check would have been very appropriate under these circumstances. A few of the greens, you actually could have used a wedge to chip instead of putting. If your course has a good reputation, don’t ruin it by not disclosing the truth about your course prior to the fact, not after. Just be forthcoming!
Played here many times
Today the greens need some work. However, the future looks very good for this course because the staff is redoning the greens, the course just went through installing watering system throughout he fairway, although the fairways are in great shape. The bunkers have all been redone and look great. You will enjoy playing this course with the exception of the greens which are a work in progress. I would recommend this course.
Communication is key!!!
I believe a course should be up front when green fees are paid if there is any upset conditions that seriously affect the overall experience. Like the greens being basically unplayable. I understand things happen but the golfers should be made aware before they begin play.
Terrible greens
Decent course for the money but greens were atrocious
Not good
From tee to green this course unplayable. I understand the circumstances from 15 months ago, but there is no reason to currently be charging these prices for a greens fee. I was not expecting pristine conditions but this was not worth the time nor money. I left after five holes and cut my losses.
Fun but greens could be in better shape
Had a real time playing out there. Great course for the price. Only complaint was greens could have been in better shape. Will definitely play there again.
Not worth the money right now
The biggest standout right now is the greens are atrocious. Most of them are sandy and bare. Where there is grass it is very long and impossible to read. The fairways were fine except where drainage lines were installed, the grass has not grown back yet. The cart path is bumpy and broken and sorely in need of repavement. In light of these issues the course remains full price. It will be a long time before I play this course again.
The greens were very poor condition three greens had 50% grass 50% dirt the remaining greens were 60 to 90 dirt and little grass that was there had not been cut for a few days. Not worth the money
Unplayable
The course is in horrible shape from the tee box to the greens. I understand that last years hurricane caused some issues but I expected more for the price that’s being charged. The course was so unplayable in my opinion and presented no joy. There is no reason to even put on these greens. In fact, I picked up after five holes and took my loss. I drove back to the parking lot, packed up and left.
Construction in Progress
The course is fun layout and greens were in good condition. Two holes 9 and 10 along with the driving range closed due to irrigation projects underway. Renovations area ongoing in the club area so no bar area. I'll give it some time before I return.
Buthered greens
usally the course is awesome but this time whoever cut the greens need to stay off the mower. they were uneven and buthered. this is one of my favorite courses to play.
Inconsistent upkeep
Only played here since my dad is a member. Greens on the front 9 were slow as molasses. Some greens were faster than others on the back 9 which wasn’t fun. Hit #1 fairway and lie looked like I was in the rough. Will not be back until the course is in better shape.
