About
Cypress Lakes Country Club is the centerpiece of the Ormond community, a neighborhood of more than 500 homes. Blending seamlessly into the surrounding cypress trees, the golf course is both challenging and scenic. You'll have to navigate your way around 17 different ponds that come into play throughout the course. With several forced carries over wetlands, it will feel like there is water at every turn. There are also 40 strategically placed bunkers bordering the greens and fairways. It's a layout that will test your accuracy and ability to strategize. Multiple sets of tees keep scratch golfers happy while beginners can also approach the course with confidence. In addition to the golf course, Cypress Lakes has a practice facility featuring a 400-yard driving range with multiple targets and putting and chipping greens.

April 28 first time at course
Fairly nice course. Fairways were extremely bumpy which affected rollout of drives. The greens were sanded so roll was slow but not too bad
Would play again after greens grew back out
Greens thicker than fairways
The groundskeeper must be in strike. If this was a $25 round, I still wouldn't think it's acceptable. The staff was incredible from the Cart Barn Manager, to the ProShop, to the bartenders. Just pass a blade over the greens and kill the Poa Annua and I'd return regularly just for the hospitality
Wednesday evening round
Staff was nice and helpful. Tee boxes could us leveling, and the greens were just sanded. Overall course was fun and good condition. I would definitely play again
Greens
The greens were in horrible shape. Definitely not worth the price they’re getting per round, not even a value round.
A little disappointed
I play Cypress Lakes pretty often. Disappointed in the condition of the greens, lots of bad grass and bumpy. Bunkers were hard with little sand. They are doing a lot of work removing trees and moving dirt in some areas. I like the layout, lots of water in play. Still a fun round with fast pace of play.
Go to course for a easy and enjoyable round
This is the best course in the metro if you need to get a round in and not be hassled with bad pace. The course is in decent shape and has a fun layout. The back 9 is a little rough from Ida but starting to come along. I'm really looking forward to playing here when spring and summer comes and the damaged areas can come back around. Staff is very courteous as well.
Greens disappointing
I’ve been playing this course for over 30 years. I have never seen the greens like this. Some patchy crab grass and sand spots.
I enjoy the layout and the challenge and variety.
Wet but great weather
It was beautiful weather for golf. Course was in good shape like usual, but the greens could use some improvement. Made putting difficult at times when it shouldn’t have been. Will certainly play there again.
Poor conditions
This course is is no way worth 55$. The greens grass probably was the highest I ever seen anywhere in my entire life. I wish I could get a refund.
Coon Tourney Group
We got stuck behind this group that plays a “tournament” on Saturday mornings. Boy was that a mistake. Not only had they no golf etiquette whatsoever, they’re playing abilities had no business playing on a busy Saturday morning. This is by far the worst round of golf I have played at this course, which I usually enjoy playing. I will have to think twice next time if this isn’t taken care of. Not once did any sort of course Marshall tell them to speed up. They golfed as if they were PGA tour pros but had absolutely no business playing the way they played.
HURRICANE STRONG
SADLY THIS COURSE WAS AFFECTED PRETTY GOOD BY THE RECENT CAT4 HURRICANE. OVER 130 TREES DOWN. THE CLEAN UP WAS ACTUALLY IMPRESSIVE. GREENS ON FRONT 9 IN GOOD SHAPE. GREENS ON BACK 9 TERRIBLE! BECAUSE OF THE GREENS i WOULD WAIT. THAT ALSO IS THE ONLY REASON I FEEL THE RATE WAS TO HIGH. HAPPY TO HELP OUT STAFF THOUGH.
Dead trees
Hurricane damage, many trees down. Greens were on the slow side. Rates to high for condition of course.
