About
Cypress Lakes Country Club is the centerpiece of the Ormond community, a neighborhood of more than 500 homes. Blending seamlessly into the surrounding cypress trees, the golf course is both challenging and scenic. You'll have to navigate your way around 17 different ponds that come into play throughout the course. With several forced carries over wetlands, it will feel like there is water at every turn. There are also 40 strategically placed bunkers bordering the greens and fairways. It's a layout that will test your accuracy and ability to strategize. Multiple sets of tees keep scratch golfers happy while beginners can also approach the course with confidence. In addition to the golf course, Cypress Lakes has a practice facility featuring a 400-yard driving range with multiple targets and putting and chipping greens.

Poor conditioning
This course, currently, is in the poorest condition I've ever seen it ( I used to be a member). I was told the really cold weather had killed all the grass. The problem with that explanation is that all the other courses around the city experienced the same weather, but they are not nearly in as bad a shape as this. Save your money, play somewhere else. Wait until this spring/ summer to give this course a shot.
I need to speak to someone about this
I booked the round for Feb. 1st but somehow when I get to the course my reservation say Jan. 31 st . they would not honor it so I paid the fee and didn't get to play. Very disappointed . would like to at least get a credit on my account to use in the future. Just FYI the course did nothing to help with this problem.
Decent course
Booked a $15 tee time. With fees, it was about $20 with cart. Front 9 greens were pretty decent, back nine greens had some rough spots that didn’t allow the ball to roll true. Greens weren’t slow; they had a nice pace. Fairways were nice.
Fabulous time
I truly enjoyed the spacious fairways that gave many shot choices and angles into the greens. The layout was really enjoyable. The greens rolled nice for southern Louisiana greens. The par 3s were challenging. I would highly recommend playing this course at least once a week. I had that much fun. I shot my best round of the year a 78.
Great "Hot Deal"
Place was fun, greens were in decent shape with all the rain we'd been having. Enough hazards to make it interesting but not too difficult. Will be back.
Good local course
Course is good. Greens were punched recently and still sandy. Grass on the greens was just starting to grown in so putting and approach shots were tough since the greens were not very receptive. Also had some construction on a bridge going from 7 to 8 that required you to go all the way around. More construction on the fairway 15. Could be in play depending on where you tee off.
Under repair
Most of the holes were under some form of repair! The greens had just recently been sanded and had some bad areas on the green! The sand trap sand was unkemped and not the same consistency on the course from hole to hole! Fairways had lots of ground under repair unmarked and some areas just overgrown with weeds!
Knowing what I know now I would not recommend playing for the next year or two!
Not so Nice
Not the nicest course you will play. Tee boxes needing mowed, fairways not to bad. They was a lot of room, but need to watch out for the water. Greens was slow, but was rolling very true. You can make some long putts if you get it there. Not sure I would pay full price, but the golf now price made it a very good day on the golf course. Overall not a bad course very good layout and fun to play. Just don't expect TPC.
Very nice golf experienc
We really enjoyed playing the course. Looking forward to playing it again!
Cypress Lakes - Great time
Great course set up very well for the 10 handicapper. Greens and fairways well maintained and in very good shape. Enjoyed and hope to go back soon.
Course is DRY and not In best condition
Course is very dry. Greens are patchy, water hazards are near dry. The course has looked much better in the past. I paid $17 with fees and it was worth that.
Go back and play it again. Big changes in a month. If you had eaten in the restaurant you would not have rated that like you did. Great food and lunch special.
