Nestled among 12-million-year-old boulders in the scenic desert foothills near Scottsdale, Arizona, Boulders Golf Club & Resort is one of the country's most prestigious resort destinations. The North golf course at Boulders plays big brother to the South Course, and offers bentgrass and marvelous views of the Black Mountain, as the course winds through the community of Boulders. Both golf courses spring from the desert foothills and feature take-your-breath-away panoramic vistas -- among those of spectacular formations of boulders, stunning Sonora sunsets and indigenous terrain.

Great deal - had a blast

I got an excellent deal on the Golf now web site that made this round even more worth it.

The course was in great shape and super fun to play. Coming from Minnesota to Arizona for the first time, I don't have a lot to compare this course to, but it was exactly how i pictured dessert golf to be.

Challenging course - rock hard greens

This is a challenging course, but fair if you hit it straight. These were the hardest greens I've ever played on and is not what I would consider typical friendliness for a resort course. Also, the starter offered to read my putt on a hole which I found odd and unprofessional.

Fun Course

Played the South Course at The Boulders. The course is scenic with many elevation changes. The greens were nice albeit a little slow on this particular day. The driving range and practice putting green could use a little TLC. Overall, it was a fun experience, and I would definitely play here again.

SLOW play

Course was over packed. Several groups on all tees. Course was in good shape. Layout had several gimmick holes (par 4s with 200 yard landing areas, par 5 where you can't use driver, etc). Everyone was very polite and they did their best to keep things moving.

Boulders Golf

The beauty surrounding the course is magnificent. The course is in good shape but greens could be better. It’s a bit pricey for the golf but the views are worth it.

Pretty but, not worth $320+

In good shape, nice layout. Rock hard greens. 15$ for a Mick Ultra, seems excessive. More of a resort than I thought. Crowded, kind of a slow round. Nice people working there. But I can check it off my list.

Used golf now for lower rate. 233 versus course 280. This is a Trron managed course. Pro shop with attitude declined to provide Trro rewards points. Claimed he did not know what we paid for round because it was prepaid by golf now. If Troon rewards points are not going to be allowed, this should be fully disclosed by golf now. Pro shop said “read it the fine print” attitude.

Excellent course

Fun and challenging play at the Boulders North course. I noticed the golf rates at most Phoenix area have gone up by 100-150% since Covid began couple of years now. The rates at The Boulders is no different from others - expensive but fun and course is in great shape.
