I don't like writing a negative review, but I have no choice.
Haven't played here in couple of years. Major downhill spiral on course conditions. Some tee boxes in sad shape, fairways with huge dirt areas throughout, most of the greens had some sort of an issue, some with large dirt areas. Not sure if it's bad course management or owner refusing to put money into course. Such a shame having a hotel, restaurant & course all at one location & to be run down the way it is. We have zero plans of going back anytime soon. I truly hope they get things turned around soon. When course is in good shape, it's a fun course to play.
Good value for the money
With most courses pricing themselves out of my budget, this was a welcome relief to my wallet.
It has a great layout.
Conditioning is the most challenging aspect of this course.
The greens were pretty good.
The fairways were a bit patchy, and there was some areas where the grass was overgrown around sprinkler heads.
But hey, if it were in great shape, I never would have been able to play it for $40. Put it this way, I have paid twice as much to play in the same conditions, so that's very informative.
Such a Beautiful Nostalgic Course that needs Extreme Care
I love this course, it has so much history. The sad thing is it hasn’t been maintained and needs so much work to restore and bring it back to its true rightful prestige.
Thank you for your review! Your review is accurate and we realize the course is currently in substandard condition. We are closing the course this summer to make repairs to the aging irrigation system, which is why the conditions are spotty. We hope to return it to it's normal condition, and earn back your business in the Fall.
Playing Viewpoint
staff were very friendly and helpful. Course layout was good. Tee boxes were average (needed a hammer for my tee on some tee boxes), Fairways were for the most part good. Some places on about 4 or 5 holes had spots where the over seeding did not take. Greens, although on the slow side were the best part of the course. Only real complaint was the standing water on many holes. The course is really pouring the water to the fairways and when you hit a great drive but then see a splash the wind gets taken out of your sails.

The irrigation system has had issues throughout the season which has led to inconsistent conditions. We are closing the course this summer to make repairs, and will hopefully be able to boast great conditions in the Fall. We hope to see you in the future!
Better shape
fairways better then most in area all greens nice shape when I played not that fast somebody spots on some fairways

Love fast golf. And you get that here first thing in the morning.
Really Rough rough
Stay in the fairway to avoid the rough and gopher holes. You'll do fine.
Go elsewhere to play
It would be an overstatement to say that the course is in rough shape. Fairways are terrible, cannot get a t into the ground on t boxes, greens are OK.
Appears that course management has given up on maintains the course at a playable level.

It was a Beautiful Friday…Front desk,Bar and staff was willing to help you with a great attitude. Friendly and polite,I will be coming back with family and friends. Aloha 🤙
Better shape
I played course a few months ago it was terrible. I was told it was in better shape so gave it a chance and it was. Greens were better and fairways. There are still some rough fairway areas but overall way better. Will play again soon
Deep Rough
As long as you stay out of the rough and gopher holes you will enjoy this course.
Greens were great! Better than some other courses in the area.
We had a 7:45am tee time and were sent out 20 minutes early. Weather was perfect.
Some tee boxes were being allowed to heal, so several were moved up to the RED or forward tee box. So, plan accordingly and choose the right club for the distance.
very poor course conditions
as a local full time resident i play this course frequently due to reasonable costs compared to others during the bulk of golf season. however this course has become so run down that i will no longer entertain visiting again. with the exception of a few greens this course is totally unkempt. the par 3s are totally unplayable. tree branches and leaves all over the greens. tee boxes with grass so high it hides the ball. losing balls in FAIRWAY due to high grass. impossible lumps in rough area contributing to bad shots. unfilled cable ditches everywhere. Extremely slow play by golfers who are un-policed by a marshal leading to long delays for all. this is a SHAME. it has the potential to be a leading course in the area but until management fixes these and a host of other problems resting on your laurels as a resort course from days gone by will prove to be you downfall. it is not WORTH the green fees at this time.
