Hotel with history behind it!! Photo submitted by Shypoke55 on 04/22/2019
1st Time
First time playing this course. Was a nice course with great staff. Other than several wet spots on the fairways, the greens, fairways, etc were very good.
Great time out!
We really enjoy this course! The staff are very friendly & we appreciate that they don’t force a twosome to have to be a foursome. It’s such a comfortable, casual atmosphere!
Great golf value
The course is in great shape right now and the price is right. This is an ex PGA course from the heyday of some of the greatest names in golf and is still a very challenging course for anybody's game. Afterwards there is the Duke's Bar in the hotel situated on the course aptly named after it's famous visitor who's ranch was nearby. The food is excellent with the Stagecoach Burger and Fish Tacos at the top of my favorites, plus plenty of draft beer to rehydrate after a round of golf.
to much mud and water on course.
There is so much mud and water on the course from the watering system, got tired of lift and clean. to much mud on the course. won't be playing again until they get it dryed out.
Long fairway grass
Middle of the fairway and the ball is almost hidden. Grass is long in most of the fairways. Greens a little slow but playable
Wet and slow, but worth a visit.
Course was wet, probably as they come out of overseeding. Green were still very slow, especially earlier in the morning before they dried out. Course was challenging and fun, but nothing that wowed me. Placement off the tee is key, greens aren’t that big. All in all worth a trip from phoenix once.
Francisco Grande Resort and Golf Course
Course was in good shape, a few wet area on the fairways. I can see why people say lots of mosquitoes didn't have to deal with mosquitoes. Over all good course layout I would play there again.

Bring your Big Dawg Driver and have fun!
At 7,600+ yds, Francisco Grande is a long, long course that will give your driver and fairway woods a hefty workout. Course was a little soggy in places the day we played, but not super bad. Greens were good. Staff is friendly and helpful.
