Disappointing
Played this course a couple of years ago and it's in even worse condition. I don't think any money is being put back into it. Looked like fairways were cut only even 2nd or 3rd day as they were shaggy. Gopher holes and weeds all over the course. Certainly not worth the green fees they're asking. Would rather spend my money at Mission Royale golf course.
Great place to play golf
This course can prove to be a great challenge with rewards for good shots. Love this course.
Disappointing
Pictures and course description made it sound like a well maintained golf course. It might have been nice 20 years ago, but now it is pretty rough. Greens were ok.
Francisco Grande Resort
Entire course & facilities were extremely old & dated.
Due to rains, entire course was muddy & not easy to drive around.
Bathrooms on course with signs saying "do not flush toilet paper" DISGUSTING
Never again at this course
Brucer
Need to get a hold of the gopher holes. Overall course is in decent shape a d we enjoyed our round
Francisco Grande Resort
Course was in o.k. condition. Not worth the $68.00 because of mud & course was overbooked so we waited on every hole to hit our 2nd, 3rd, and 4th shot (on par 5's)Extremely old Resort
The course is Long
This course received about 1.5 inches of rain in the 2 days prior to me playing it. There were several areas that had standing water and areas that were very soft and muddy. I had to lift my ball out of several areas and clean and place in dryer grass. The greens were bare in spots, but rolled true and fast. Bunkers were nice and good sand. This course is long but has 5 sets of tee boxes that allow you to play the length of your game.
Cold Morning Play
Excellent pace of play and the course greens were in great shape. Lots of mowing and grounds work going on. (Nice to see)
Could be better
Course is rough, except for the pro shop there were no working washrooms on the course. Pace of play was a bit slow, no marshal. Staff were friendly.
Course amenities need work
Couldn't use a credit card at snack shop. Only brats available at the snack shop when we were told there would be sandwiches and burgers. Course conditions were only so-so. I almost stepped into an open sprinkle box because the cover was off. No cart paths except at the beginning and end of each hole. Very muddy. We won't be back
Give it a shot.
It's a little out of the way but course was in good shape and fresh sand in all bunkers. Course I had a fabulous round so that made it better. Anyways a week before the open and this course was 69$. Everything else over a 100 and some courses even raise their regular rates from 90 to 150 plus. Seriously 350$ for a round at the Boulders? 80 bucks in June..... If you like to be gouged, enjoy if not give this course a try!
Pace of Play
The course is nice but they never have a Course Marshall to speed up SLOW PLAYERS or groups. Our round once we teed off took 4 hours and 45 minutes when 4 hours is plenty enough time for anyone to play 18 holes. So we had to wait approx 2 and 1/2 minutes on every tee box or fairway due to poor course management.
