Rancho Manana Golf Club has one of the prettier courses in Cave Creek-Scottsdale, located high in the Sonora and combining vistas with testing golf. It offers a par-70 championship golf course laid out over elevations that change dramatically right up alongside the untouched desert and the indigenous wildlife that comes with that, as well as an old-school dude ranch that has been incorporated into the golf resort. Low-handicap golfers will be challenged by the golf course, but it's not so tough that other levels of golfer will be turned away.

The Rancho Manana Golf Club offers golf to the public and is conveniently located just 20 minutes off the highway.

After a round of golf at the Rancho Manana Golf Club, stick around for around and maybe some eats at the Tonto Bar & Grill, which has received several awards and is listed among Arizona's top 100 restaurants.

Great course for the price!

I really enjoyed my round. Fairways tight but fair. Greens smaller than most. Rolled nice. A little slow.

Loved the elevation changes! I will definitely play again!

One of the best

Really enjoyed playing rancho manana. Course was perfectly maintained. Ton of fun golf shots. Target golf for sure. Beautiful scenery and a great spot to have lunch afterwards. Everything you’d want out of a golf outing.

Splendid course the

Didn’t know what to expect, but my wife and I had a wonderful time. New to desert golf, played We-ok-pa a few days prior. We actually liked this hidden gem a little better, if that says anything. Some long par 3’s, and shorter but challenging par 4’s and a few 5’s, all was good. Not to mention it’s a bit cooler up in that area, vs down in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area. As a bonus, a really nice on site restaurant called The Groto. Lunch was delicious, service was great too. Yup, we’d go back!

Tee boxes beat up

The tee boxes were in horrible shape and so hard you could not put in a tee and huge divots even on part four boxes. Layout is fun but hard to ignore the really bad things.

Great views and Course setup

Really enjoyed the beauty of the course layout into the terrain. I think its just enough elevation where your ball seems to fly a little further. The uphill/downhill shots are so much fun. We ended up at Tonto's next door after the round and it was awesome to enjoy an early dinner watching golfers hit into the par 3. We'll definitely be back.

Rancho Manana

I thought a bit gimmicky. Fairways close together with a number of blind spots. ( saw a lady hit in head). Knowing the course would mitigate these some. Would play again if opportunity presents.

Great views

The views on this golf course are great. You see the surrounding Cave Creek area with all of it's hills and mountains. The course is extremely short. The rating for the white tees are 64. Difficulty is increased due to very narrow tee boxes that, on some holes, felt like an afterthought. Overall I enjoyed playing this course for the first time, but I would probably not return if I was looking for somewhere to play in the Phoenix area.

Slow Play

Took our threesome 4:57 to play the round. Tee times are too close together.

Tee boxes are rough as well as a few greens. The 11th green is damaged from equipment damage. The cost per round is too high even for this time of the year.

Still a nice course and great views.

Great course and fantastic layout

This course is always one of my favorites. Prime time may be pricey but you can get tee times that give you value for you money. The course was in perfect condition as were the greens. Always try the Caesars from the drink cart. They are the best spicey Caesars in Scottsdale/Phoenix! We enjoyed our day immensely.

A hike in the hills

This course requires a cart, but is not overly long, and inventively designed up, down and thru the hills. Beautiful views from the higher elevations. Numerous holes have substantial directional and elevation changes. The greens were in good shape, firm but relatively slow. With the elevation changes, some wouldn't hold the approach shot. The glaring negative was a significant lack of sand in the green-side bunkers. Overall, You need a modicum of golfing skill to play this track or it will cost you a fortune in lost balls. The course was in good shape, good pace of play, the weather was great and we did have fun.
