Rancho Manana Golf Club

The track is not designed very well. It is cool to play up the mountain but other than that rather boring.

You have to pay for range balls which is crazy as most courses in the area do not follow this standard. The starters and golf shop staff were rather rude and did not make it feel like a welcome environment. For an extra $30 bucks take a trip over to Troon North, or Boulders.

The greens were a bit rough but should be better in a few weeks.

Love the layout of this one of a kind course. The conditions are terrible unfortunately. The greens are mostly unputtable with exception of one or two greens. I played here two years ago and it was awful. Thought they would have figured it out but sadly not the case. Played this track many times over the years and it was always in good shape. Do not play here if you care at all about trying to make a putt. Just drive there have lunch or dinner in the great restaurant and walk out side and look at the practice greens they are terrible and exactly how the rest of the greens are.

Beautiful course. Horrible ranger. Lies to golfers. Felt like we needed to play speed golf instead of enjoying a normal round of golf. Unfortunate!!!

But the greens are in pretty rough shape and it’s really impacting the roll of the ball. Lots of bounces

I live in Chicago but visit family a few times a year and Rancho Mañana is def my favorite. The course was in great shape for the summer minus the greens. They were aerated a week or two ago, so were still regrowing, so that was the only "bad" part but regualar part of golf maintenance so no knock on them for that. Still a great time and nice summer value even for an early morning round!

This is a great course to play I make it a point to play there every summer at least one time. Right now the greens are a little bit rough and very bumpy

Got paired up with 2 ladies. One has played the other hasn’t played. She was getting a lesson from her friend. Very frustrating! Pace was terrible! No rangers insight. Waiting 15 on every shot. Asked for a rain check and said there was no rain in the forecast. Terrible customer service. Never going back!

The course was in good condition. Keep in mind, it is summer conditions. The greens were not in good shape. They had been aerated and heavily sanded. There were a few that were completely dry and dead. Really had to have any consistency in putting. I still gave an overall rating of 4 ⭐️’s because the fairways and scenery were great.

I understand being punched. But bare spots and dirt is horrible. We all know berrmuda grass doesn't grow in the shade

Rancho is just a very beautiful/unique course. Beautiful views, great staff. You can get held up a little bit so expect that but, they are pretty good about having the rangers watch pace of play. LOVE this course and would definitely recommend.
