Rancho Manana Golf Club

This was the second time I've played this course. Mt first visit, I was very rudely greeted by an older man in the pro shop, something along the lines of "what do you want". I went back this weekend, when I checked in a different older man greeted me in a similar, discourteous manner. I don't understand why they would hire staff that cant pretend to be cordial to paying customers. He then proceeded to charge me a rider fee for my wife that cost more than half the amount of the round, mind you I teed off after 4pm as a single on a completely open golf course. I will not be going back solely off my interactions with these unpleasant pro shop employees. I'm hoping this is seen by management and addressed as it is unacceptable, been golfing 25+ years and haven't run into this.

This is a great course, with a fantastic layout.

As with all courses in Phoenix in the summer….. when it is the hottest you see the Bev cart the least. On hot humid days filling up at the turn is almost dangerous, hydration wise.

I enjoy playing at Rancho but there are times when the pace of play could be better

Range wasn't open, not much explanation for it. Just said maintenance hadn't finished yet. Course was Good, guys in front of us decided they needed to play from blue tees.

Doubt if any of four broke 100. Kind of slow. Guys who cleaned clubs were Great! Overall a 4 star day.

Staff was very friendly and welcoming and the course was nice too. I’d recommend!

The track is not designed very well. It is cool to play up the mountain but other than that rather boring.

You have to pay for range balls which is crazy as most courses in the area do not follow this standard. The starters and golf shop staff were rather rude and did not make it feel like a welcome environment. For an extra $30 bucks take a trip over to Troon North, or Boulders.

The greens were a bit rough but should be better in a few weeks.

Love the layout of this one of a kind course. The conditions are terrible unfortunately. The greens are mostly unputtable with exception of one or two greens. I played here two years ago and it was awful. Thought they would have figured it out but sadly not the case. Played this track many times over the years and it was always in good shape. Do not play here if you care at all about trying to make a putt. Just drive there have lunch or dinner in the great restaurant and walk out side and look at the practice greens they are terrible and exactly how the rest of the greens are.

Beautiful course. Horrible ranger. Lies to golfers. Felt like we needed to play speed golf instead of enjoying a normal round of golf. Unfortunate!!!
