Mountain Brook Golf Club

This is the second time we played this course. I highly recommend playing here.

Greens: very consistent and a little slow. People need to repair ball marks.

Fairway: winter grass a little thin but all in all they were easy to hit off of.

Rough: very well maintain but it was not easy to hit out of, keep on the short grass.

Fringe: overseeding made this difficult to putt on. In a month or so this will not be an issue.

Starter did a great job making sure you were ready when it was your turn. Pace of play was really good. Everyone was keeping up with the group in front of them.

Course just came off cartpath only. On 90 degree rule now. Great condition and will be better into winter.

We play here regularly and enjoy the course very much. Our recent experience was reduced by the tone of the starter and later a Marshall we encountered on the course. We felt talked down to and we’re not friendly which was disappointing. Will be back to see if this was a one off experience.

They were sending out groups seven minutes apart with cart path only. We started 25 minutes after our scheduled start time. 4.5 hour pace.

Great course; only knock is when I made the reservation it didn’t let me know about overseeding/cart path only - reason this would have been important: snail pace of play and way more running around.

I’ve played here before so my expectations weren’t very high. It’s a mediocre layout. The greens were bad. Need to be cut and rolled. The grass was so long it was difficult to get the ball to the hole.nor would they hold the line. The puts jumped every such way then come up well short.

Grass is coming in nicely, greens are expectedly slow. Not giving out bottled water any longer but there are dispensers at the bathrooms. Prices are going up. Nice staff.

Played after over-seed. Cartpath only. Course in good to great condition after overseed. This course will be a great one to play this winter.

I always love playing this course! Due to re-seeding this time of year, it was cart path only. This will only last for a couple more weeks. It made me be more aware of hitting the ball closer to the cart path!

Nice neighborhood course. Nothing crazy challenging but placed in a nice area and well maintained. Interested in seeing how they handle rate of play with all the slower snowbirds in the fall…

Great views on certain holes, course in great shape

Very hard to predict putts/chips to the green due to over seeding/sand on the greens; pace was slow - 5.5 hours for 18…

The course has a fun layout as always. But they are prepping for fall over seeding so fairways and greens are pretty dry and short.

Even though the course was dried out as they were shutting down Sunday afternoon (after our round) to start over-seeding, it is always fun to play this track. For the conditions, it was still a great round. I always love this course - worth the drive out to Gold Canyon. The only knock I have on MB is their expensive beers, but ultimately they’re not anymore expensive than what a lot of courses are charging these days. I just liked it better when they were cheaper.

The best little know course in the east valley. A gem of a course that I highly recommend

This course is in impeccable shape right now. Not even just for summer, but great shape for any time of year. The views are hard to beat up against the mountains as well. Can't beat the value either.
