Robert Trent Jones Jr. designed Las Sendas Golf Club's course, opened in 1995 and among the toughest U.S. courses. Two Zagat surveys have ranked it among the top 50 U.S. golf courses.

Las Sendas Golf Club offers a desert course demanding top play as it takes golfers through the Usery Mountains, with a vista of Phoenix as the tradeoff for managing rough land close to 1,800 feet above the desert. Jones didn't create a course with whimsical decorations like railroad ties, and he didn't build targets. The golf course is for those who strategize, mapping the way from tee to green.

After a round at Las Sendas Golf Club, head to Las Sendas Grille, for the full bar, including wines from California, Australia and Europe, as well as four tap beers and domestic and imported bottles.

Nice but a little too pricey

Course was in good condition, greens were nice, traps were in good shape. The pace of play was excellent, which has not always been the case at this course. It was not super crowded and that probably played a factor in the pace being good. It's a bit pricey and that may also have contributed to the lack of players and better overall pace of play.

Good course and the greens were in good condition. Some of the pin placements are a little extreme. If you putt on certain parts of the greens the ball will roll off.

Played the course March 2024. Course was in good condition, and pace of play was excellent, could not catch the group ahead of us. As a tourist, I want to experience the local desert surroundings as part of my golf experience, and this place delivers. Although houses all around, scenery was gorgeous. Golf carts pretty basic, no GPS, which would have been nice for a first time player of the course, but not a deal breaker. A little pricey but that’s golf these days. Would recommend this course, but wouldn’t pay more than $200.

Great Course/ pace of play is a problem

This was the second time I played this course and I love the layout. It was in great condition and the staff is always very friendly. Both times, pace of play was a huge problem, waited on every shot the whole afternoon. I was on vacation so not in a hurry but it does get old...

GPS would be nice

The starter was very helpful. Overall the staff was very good. For a course that charges top dollar and unique holes with blind shots there should be GPS on the carts...... along with a ball/club washer. With 10 minute tee times the pace of play was good until a pair of members jumped on the couple mid round ahead of us.

First time playing here and it was amazing !!!!

The. Course is simply amazing !!!! Most hole are picture perfect , with mountain in the background , elevated green , deep bunker .

And the staff was everything you expect from a high end golf course from the bag boy at our arrival to the pro shop staff to the bag boy waiting for you at the 18 hole green to clean your club . We will be back
