About
Golden Hills Golf Club (formerly known as Arizona Golf Resort) is home to a golf school and a challenging 18-hole course. The golf course is known for its difficult and scenic par-3 holes. It is has a traditional layout that features large, subtly sloped greens that are guarded by bunkers. Stately cottonwood and eucalyptus trees line the generous fairways. Lakes form water hazards that come into play on five holes and there is also native rough throughout the course. With four sets of tee boxes, the course offers a suitable challenge for players of all skill levels. In addition to the course and the school, the Golden Hills Golf Club has a putting green and chipping area as well.

First time golfing
I enjoy trying different golf courses. With the current price for golfing 18 holes. I will not be back.

Neglect
I played here some years ago and was surprised to see how much it has deteriorated. The layout is not bad, but the course conditions are among the worst.

Weeds
The wet conditions from earlier were improved with only a few holes having standing water. The rough was overgrown with weeds to the point you lost a ball in them.

Overpriced!!
We spent $240 to golf here and the course was terrible. Standing water in many places, some of the women’s tee boxes had no grass and there are houses lining the course throughout the entire round. I would not recommend this course for the money we spent. We expected to be at a higher end resort for that kind of money!

Getting better
Parking lot was full so that meant the course was full. Sent off the back first and even being full, pace was fine. On the turn, there were 7 groups waiting to tee off on number 1 with no idea where they came from since they were not the same groups from our first side. We were allowed to replay the same side which turned out to be a mistake. The group in front were beginners playing the back tees. Zero etiquette made the back side horrible. Fairways were nice and green with a few mud patches. Greens were mostly full. Bunkers were nice. All these are big improvements over last time. Keep up on the improvements.

Not the best course to play.
The red tee boxes were in terrible condition and perhaps they had a water pipe problem but there was standing water in several places on the fairways. Pace of play was very slow, waited at every hole but that might have been because of the frost delay.

A waste of your time and money!
Absolutely one of the worst course conditions I have ever played. $81 for this course is a joke!
Tee time was late due to the jamming in three groups ahead of us and they came out on hole 7 and told us we need to pick up the pace they have a shotgun start waiting to play. We waited on every shot for the group ahead of us..
