About
Located in Mesa, Desert Sand Golf Course is an executive length course with a short layout that is most suitable for beginners, but it is also a good place for golfers of all skill levels to work on their short game skills. Due to its flat terrain, the course is easy to walk with few elevation changes. The greens are remarkably fast and water hazards come into play on five holes. There are also sand bunkers scattered throughout the course. The Desert Sand Golf Course facility offers a chipping area and putting green and it is also home to a golf school.

Hardly and grass to play off even in the fairways and green side
Fun Executive Course
Had a good time playing here. I like to play here as a single usually in the afternoon where you can easily play the whole course in under 2 hours. Lot of par 4s makes the course feel longer than it is but for better players every hole is an opportunity to make birdie. Fun course to try and go low on.
Greens are in good shape and the rest of the course is a lot of dirt and dry grass but it’s a short course so as long as the greens are rolling true that what’s matters. For the price it’s a great tune up course, would definitely recommend
Don't waste your time.
From the moment we arrived, the pro shop staff was horrible with guest service and the course was in terrible condition. I understand it's right before overseed, but hitting a perfect drive in middle of fairway and having to grass to hit off is kind of ridiculous. The groundskeeping guy so was so busy watching videos on his phone while attempting to mow he almost hit our cart twice. Debris on greens and multiple grounds keeping staff standing around doing nothing. Not a good experience whatsoever. Only bright spot, the cheap beverages and the nice bev cart woman
Never again on a Friday
Most of the fairways are dirt this time of year the greens are nice and challenging. never play again on a Friday after all the locals have their tournament the course is a disaster and trashy
Good place. Had a good time.
Great place to spend your time. Shorter holes. Not much amenities, but lots of grass coverage. Interesting greens. For this course condition and this price, I would recommend this place.
Good value
Nice course for older and newer golfers with the shorter length and less opportunities to get into trouble. Course conditions were quite good and the staff was very friendly.
Fast paced 18 hole. Good conditions. Great for your short game
AZ Golf
Course is in fair to good condition due to the time of year and heat. Carts are in good condition and clean. Pro shop staff friendly and helpful. Pace of play is great as it is not busy at all right now.
Great value course
I come to Desert Sands often because it’s very affordable to play and it’s always in good playing condition. Most courses with similar price ranges have very rough tee boxes,, fairways and greens. Desert Sands keeps their course looking nice and playable. It’s why I always come back to play.
