About
Located in Mesa, Desert Sand Golf Course is an executive length course with a short layout that is most suitable for beginners, but it is also a good place for golfers of all skill levels to work on their short game skills. Due to its flat terrain, the course is easy to walk with few elevation changes. The greens are remarkably fast and water hazards come into play on five holes. There are also sand bunkers scattered throughout the course. The Desert Sand Golf Course facility offers a chipping area and putting green and it is also home to a golf school.

great little course to play for the fun of the game. Older course with some character. Friendly staff. Would play again for the price I payed.

Good round
All but one green was very consistent...as well as the fairways. Nice price for an executive course including a cart.

Play The Back Nine First
As late as was our tee-time was we could have played the back nine first. No one went from 9 to 10 for at least 30 minutes.. we paid for 18 and only got 9 holes in.
Very slow play.
However the two ladies we played with were very nice and played well.

Frost Delay?
Arrived 40 minutes early anf found they were about 1 1/2 hour behind due to frost delay!! The low temp of the evening was 45 degrees!!
Other than the delay, the staff and starter we amazingly pleasant and I got a little extra time to putt.
Pace of play was amazingly good and the back nine really opened up. Nice course.

Great Afternoon Golfing
We golfed 9 holes on Tuesday afternoon. The staff was very accommodating. We had several pars so that always makes for a better round.

Nice staff
For some reason the course did not get my GN reservation but they got me in within a half hour. It was a five-some but with the pace of play, it didn’t make any difference.
The guy in the pro shop and the starter were great!

Fantastic day on the course. 4 hours for 18 holes not a bad pace. Hole placements are always challenging here. The one thing that is tough to understand is the lack of level ground on tee boxes. But I must say that this course is very enjoyable. The staff is always friendly and the people you meet and play with add to the pleasant experience. I would encourage other to check this course out.

Great for Casual Golfers
Executive Course with a friendly layout. Tee boxes need to be leveled and fairways are average.
Greens in great shape and quite challenging. With the exception of #18, greens are tiered and elevated and defend the against easy Pars for those landing on greens in regulation.
Casual atmosphere with friendly, mostly retirement age, employees. Great for beginners and frequent weekend hackers.

Questionable
The course plays among many abandoned trailers/park models. It’s flat with ridiculous humped greens. Slow play. Lots of seniors.
