About
Located in Mesa, Desert Sand Golf Course is an executive length course with a short layout that is most suitable for beginners, but it is also a good place for golfers of all skill levels to work on their short game skills. Due to its flat terrain, the course is easy to walk with few elevation changes. The greens are remarkably fast and water hazards come into play on five holes. There are also sand bunkers scattered throughout the course. The Desert Sand Golf Course facility offers a chipping area and putting green and it is also home to a golf school.

Good course
Nice well maintained reasonably priced course. It's popular and quite crowded most days. Pace of play tends to be a little slow.

An enjoyable course
Waited at most holes - perhaps a little more time between tee off on #1?

Good executive course
Not a bad place to play to work on putting these greens are small with lots of movement. My only complaint is that they make you share a cart. I wouldn’t have minded had I known the person and in these times seems a little strange.

If you not played dessert sands in 3 years give it an other chance the course is in the best shape ever.

Mow
Greens need to be mowed down to speed them up a little and the grass around the greens was way too long needed to be mowed a week ago. also the entire course needs to be sprayed for weeds the cheese weed is out of control and you can’t find the ball in it.

Rough too high around greens
This is the first time the rough around greens was 6 inches high, with no collar around greens. I missed green by 5 feet and lost my ball as rough was so high. This is a fun course and not a Championship course. Pace of play is affected by this too. Cut the rough please!

Nice little place
Decent course! Nice free-relief zones. Pace of play was abysmal the day I went but the grass was green and the folks were nice. Great value for the money!
