The golf course at Red Mountain Ranch & Country Club is a beautifully designed layout set against a desert landscape with rock formations, mesquite trees, and cacti. Pete and Perry Dye designed the course, combining both beauty and challenge. This championship course was built on rolling terrain and has large, sharply contoured greens and extensive mounding that is reinforced with railroad ties. There are not only deep sand bunkers but also grass bunkers protecting the greens. There are also four ponds on the course at Red Mountain Ranch & Country Club, but only three create water hazards that come into play on four holes. A notable hole on the course in which water comes into play is the sixth, a hole that has a peninsula green with water surrounding it along three sides.

Best value in phoenix area

Played this course on a Sunday at 10am on memorial day weekend. Round took 4.5 hours, but I was playing with my date and a random who are both 30+ handicappers. The driving range and chipping area was perfect and the course itself was in great shape. The greens weren't very receptive, but that's AZ golf in the mid 90s. I shot a 78, which is where I expect to be for Pete dye courses. Try not to go long on the greens, there are bunkers everywhere. Which is my one complaint, they need to loosen the bunkers up a bit, good luck holding a green from a firm bunker with no ability to spin the ball.

Overall great time

The course seemed to be in pretty good shape. The greens seemed a bit slow but overall a great experience. The staff was friendly and for the money it's well worth it. Ill be back for sure.

Course wasn’t in good shape. Cart paths are all buckling of cement, rough area are not normal and sketchy grass. Greens were rock hard for M

Greens too hard and conditions were not a return course for us. Range you hit out to gravel as no grass.

Green shape are fine but hard and slow. No cart service was super annoying as couldn’t even give them any money for a beer.

This course is always interesting and presents a challenge to most golfers. Fairways and greens in good shape despite the hot weather conditions the last couple of weeks.

Wonderful golf course

I fear we did not do the golf course justice when we played.

It was as good as we remembered. Neville wondered whether some of the timbers had deteriorated?
