Superstition Springs Golf Club

You would expect a course to be in great shape just opening after over seeding. It was not.

Definitely not worth the price. Most of the greens were brutal, bare patches, bumpy, and weeds. The rough around the greens was covered in thick clumps of cut dried grass. The fairways were decent, but not great like you would expect at this point. The fairway rough was pretty sparse. We agreed to roll the ball in the rough to find grass to hit from. Not one of the tee boxes were level, they were wavy and slanted???? On top of this, 4 hrs 20 mins to play, following a twosome with no one in front of them. Ranger drove by twice, but never said a word to them, Then we had guys behind us hitting drives over our heads. Crazy!!!

Arrived at the course 30 minutes before my 1:33 tee time. Had to wait until my team time to even get a cart. Took 3.5 hours to play the front 9 and was told I would not be able to finish before they closed.

Group in front of us hit 2 balls almost every shot which turned out to be a 5 and half hr round.

The course was in really good shape considering it had just re-opened after over-seeding.

Just reopened after re seeding. Things were a little shaggy but very green.

Driving range to small to handle the large amounts of people wanting to use it. Arrived at the course 40 minutes before tee time. Was told didn’t have a golf cart ready for us yet. Was told just take a few clubs & walk over to the over crowded driving range. Finally got a golf cart 5 minutes before tee time.Course website advised us that the course was over-seeded, but did not say anything about cart path only. My overall rating was poor because this time of year there is an enormous amounts of people here to play golf and enjoy the fine weather. In my opinion, there was way to many people on & at the course & not enough cold carts to handle it.

The only complaint I have about this golf course is they let people on the back nine and get right in front of us.

This is a very nice course, the greens were a little sloppy but overall in good shape considering overseeing will be happening soon. Will play it again probably in late October.

Don’t bother !!! Go elsewhere !!! Hasn’t been watered in weeks / months — bunkers Terrible - greens are the best part — waited almost 10 min. just to check in as gentleman was on the phone ‘selling’ a membership to someone in Iowa — not even worth a Hot Deal rate !!!

That said, we still had fun, plenty of roll if you hit it in the right direction. Greens rolled pretty well. Some of the ponds have dried up but 8 and 9 (old 17/18) still hold your attention trying to figure how far your lay up will run towards the water. I hadn’t played here in 4-5 years because of poor management of tee times and marshaling, but maybe new management is bringing it around. All courses will have to make do with less water in the future. Hope they keep it together

The course was in very good shape and the greens were excellent. The staff was very friendly and helpful. This is a beautiful course and the green fees make this an excellent value.

Course was in good condition, plenty of grass in fairways and greens were in great shape. Was not busy due to heat and I played a full 18 in about 2.5 hours. Staff was friendly and courteous. Water was very low on the course for the hazard areas which was sad to see but it has been ridiculously hot out here. Would definitely play again for the price.

Played in 4 hrs. Course is harder than i remember. Tough pin placements. But was a very enjoyable round and a good value.
