Superstition Springs Golf Club
About
The East Valley's Superstition Springs Golf Club offers one of Arizona's most testing layouts, measuring over 7,000 yards, with a slope rating of 130. Golf course architect Greg H. Nash designed the course and worked with the landscape already in place to provide the abundant mounding, wide bunkers and good-looking but tough-playing water features.
By the time he had finished with the Superstition Springs Golf Club, Nash had created a golf course that Golfweek called one of America's Best Golf Courses.
After - or before - a round of golf at the Superstition Springs Golf Club, hit up the restaurant for breakfast, lunch or drinks either inside or on the patio, which overlooks the golf course's signature hole, the ninth.

A favorite
Back 9 got flooded, but, front was still playable, and in great shape. This is a course we becer skip.
Open mud pits (Bunkers).
There have been many comments about the condition of the bunkers. Obviously you have chosen to ignore the comments since nothing had changed. If you are unwilling to fix the issue, then you need to disclose their condition on your website and GOLF NOW needs to disclose also.
You may think you are cutting costs but please recognize you are losing revenue. I will not play here again until I see in the reviews that the bunkers are repaired.
Thanks for reviewing us. Your feedback is appreciated and we do take it to heart. Our team has bunker improvement as a top priority and will continue to improve the pain points of guest experience around the facility.
Resort course
I’ve played the course every time I visit Phoenix and always enjoy the track, it is getting run down though. Carts are in need of upgrading and putting green was open but unusable condition, on course washrooms need freshening up.
What got me was pace of play. It’s always been a slower round being a resort course but this time they had a five some which really brought the field to a grinding pace. Marshall’s and Proshop need to own that. It’s not cheap in February so at least do your best to provide an enjoyable pace of play.
Thank you for the feedback. We’re sorry your experience wasn’t the best it could be. We’ll use this as a learning experience as to how we can improve.
Thank you for your well thought out feedback. Arcis appreciates your comments and has taken them under advisement. Our apologies we missed an opportunity on policing play better. We will continue to work on ways to improve the speed of play before it becomes an issue. We look forward to welcoming you back again soon.
Very wet condition because of rain Played only the front nine twice. Golf cart needs attention. Broken wind shield and back rest. Very dirty
Thank you so much for your well thought out feedback. We are already looking into ways we can improve when these situations arise. We look forward to having you back out again soon!
Springs course
Nice course, recommend to play it.
reasonably challenging.
Trash littered, weed infested cesspool
I can't believe a course that charges over $100/round is in this much disarray. There was trash littered everywhere and weeds growing all over the course. This is one course you can skip...
Thank you so much for your valuable feedback. We’re very sorry to read that you’re unhappy with some of your experience at Superstition Springs. Your feedback is what drives us to improve, we are looking into the issues you experienced.
Fun course
Nice course, condition is getting better every year. Greens are in excellent shape- ball rolls true and most players repair ball marks. Course is not overly long but the small greens make the course pretty difficult. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Pace was pretty good for a late morning weekend round. 4hr 25 min. Sand was in the only two bunkers- a few could use work but most seemed to be in good condition.
Only negative is tee boxes are in need of some leveling. Tough to find a flat lie off the tee.
We appreciate the review. Thanks for taking the time.
We still have much more to improve on but we're happy you're noticing the improvements.
Have a great day!
Slow but fun
Course was in good shape compared to its regular conditions. Greens were 7/10. The grill and club house staff are top notch.
The kids at the end of the round are embarrassingly bad, kid playing on his phone then told me we should tip him, even though he didn’t touch our clubs for cleaning or even offer. I tip every time, but if you don’t even leave the booth, don’t tell me “this is how I make a living” when you don’t get a tip. Maybe take those tips you get and cut that mullet off instead of using it to play candy crush on your phone.
Thank you for the feedback and we're glad you enjoyed yourself.
Our team members are the heart of the organization, and we can't apologize enough for the attitude of one of our apparently bad apples. We will work with all team members to make sure they enhance your experience in the future. We look forward to welcoming you back out again soon!
Keep your head up
The course has quite a few blind tee offs and unseen hazards. You need to pay attention at all times
Expensive, and you have to completely pre-pay for all in your group when you make a reservation.
I had to prepay $159/person for all in my group when I made the tee time reservations. Two in my party had Arcis cards they wanted to utilize when they checked in. The staff person would not let them use their cards since the reservations were made on Golf Now. So, they got upset with the staff person and me also, because now they owe me the full $150 each. This policy requiring full pre payment and not honoring their Arcis cards, which Superstition Springs honors, at check in sucks. It’s just pure greed at an overpriced course. I’m done with Superstition Springs.
Not Superstion Springs fault if you booked on Golf Now. Next time book for 2 pp on Golf Now and call the course and book the other 2 pp. If booked through Golf Now they can't refund your money.
Let us play
Marshall did everything in his power to make sure golf was at a slow pace. Don’t hold groups up and let them play ahead of pace if they can. Loved the layout and the greens were good. Traps were a work in progress.
Thank you for your feedback! We understand your concerns on the bunkers and we hope to have a solution for those in the future.
We will work with our golf course player assistant team to make sure they are identifying slow and fast play correctly.
We look forward to welcoming you back out again soon!
Sand traps
Why isn’t there good sand in the bunkers it’s like small pebbles. Biggest complaint
