Golfer Reviews
Wow!
A perfect relatively easy course to start a golf vacation after a layoff of a month that was in excellent condition except there is no driving range. Unusual layout set in a "wash" with huge distances between green to next tee box on the back nine, but the electric carts are excellent.
Pedestrians everywhere
The bigger issue with Stonecreek is the pedestrians walking, biking, etc… all over the course. Not just by the clubhouse. You have to dodge people with the carts, more than once we had to hold off our tee shots for bicycles. You wouldn’t catch me riding a bike out there. Course conditions were muddy all over, we haven’t had rain in 2 months so it’s a grounds crew issue. This isn’t a prob at other courses the area. Prob won’t be back for sometime.
Decent enough
Course has e couple of quirky holes. Conditions were just okay. Greens in particular have a lot of unrepaiirrd ball marks. Sand is typical for Arizona. - hard as a rock with thin layers of sand. Golf now had a good rate for this time of year. Not a favourite course but would consider it again.
AKAzgolf
Nice layout, slow play due to cart path only, only real poor condition is the bunkers, hardly any sand and dried hard dirt, if your in the bunker it will cost you strokes for sure…
Would play again if got a value price.
Real potential but ….
Was disappointed in the course maintenance and overall conditions of the landscaping and upkeep. Clumps/piles of grass clippings in the fairways and rough, several muddy spots, etc. Great location and pretty scenery but the course was not well manicured/maintained. This course has real potential but the upkeep of the grounds/course need attention.
Not Too Shabby
Play it on a Sunday afternoon and the pace of play wasn’t too bad. Got paired up with a couple of really nice guys who have played the course before and had lots of pointers. While it would’ve been nice to not be on cart path only, it wasn’t really too bad of a walk from the cart path to the balls. Overall, I would consider the experience a good one and at a good price. Did think the range could use an upgrade as the mats are quite worn.
The Very Best Was To Start Your Day!
The course is in great shape. Course staff art am very friendly and nice. Why won't you play here?
Transitions
The course is good with plenty of challenges. Like many courses in AZ the grass is in transition mode. So...everything is pretty wet!
Very nice course. Overseed coming in great. Was still cartpath only, but finished in scheduled time. Definitely would recommend!
