Palmer Course at Wildfire Golf Club at Desert Ridge

Course is In great shape. The rough is thick and ball will lay down into it. Fareways are in great condition. Greens a little grainy but puts true. Water on every other hole is nice and cart girls were very friendly and saw them often. Pro shop has lots to choose from and friendly staff. I would play again.

I didn't expect much being a resort course but it was well designed and a fair challenge.

This is always a great golf experience even in the 100 degree heat of the AZ. Summer. Very friendly and helpful staff, nice pro shop and great restaurant make for the total golf experience. Fairways and tees were unbelievably soft and green for this time of year. Greens were a little grainy and punched but still true and playable. Cold water through out the course was nice as well as a beverage cart in operation despite the heat.

We teed off at 12:40 on a verrrrry warm Phoenix summer day (107 degrees). The course was in great shape considering the heat, and our foursome had a blast pouring ice water on each other between tee-offs. We recommend this course highly . . . !

For August the course is in pretty good shape because of the rain(s) earlier this month. I think the greens were punched approx 2-3 weeks ago, but in acceptable condition as they have grown/filled in more quickly due to the aforementioned rain. They are still very shaggy/hairy & slow, but not that bad, again for August in the desert. Course is doing construction on 9th green, but they have done a nice job not implementing a temp green. If you play the hole correctly, you should shoot right over the construction & it won't bother you too much. Able to get a great rate on GolfNow "Hot Tee Time" for a single

Playing the Palmer Course was a lot of fun.I played with my wife and two of my sons.All of us enjoyed the experience.The holes were long but fair.The greens still had some sand from aerating but were
easy to put.The staff was friendly.This golf experience was a great way to spend a Sunday
morning.

I guess I should have known that when you get a good price there has to be something wrong. Well apparently greens had been aerated recently and so were a little bumpy and slow.

The course was very playable after heavy rains the day prior. Bunkers were in good shape and the fairways, while moist, were not overly so. The conditioning of the course was good as usual. The rough is not long at all so as long as you don't stray into the desert you should have a shot.

The course is transitioning well and in good condition. Palmer's design here gives golfers from all tees a good cross mix of extremely challenging to challenging to no-brainer short, but you better play smart, golf holes. Course played long, in most part because of unusually high humidity and 100 degree heat. Enjoyed my journey!

Plenty of well designed holes to present a challenge to anyones game. Couple of short risk reward par 4's that well make you think. Course is in very good summer condition. Very enjoyable course to play!

We LOVE the Faldo course here and couldn't get on this morning. The Palmer side has just been punched(we knew it), so not as good an experience putting.Having said that, I would go back to play when it heals.We saw a coyote catching prey, roadrunners and huge fish in the pond at 11th hole.We played the other course Thursday,and I would give the Faldo course 5 stars.

First time playing this course. It had recently been aerated so review would have probably been much better if not for that. Fairways were good but greens were difficult due to lumps from aeration. Wide fairways and nice large greens. Staff was excellent. Friendly and very attentive. It was 105 degrees but nice breeze and low humidity made it very pleasant. Yes it IS a dry heat! I would give the course a few more weeks to get up to better playing experience. All in all a very pleasant experience. Will definitely go back. For now you may want to play the Faldo course. Didn't eat other than food cart. Very nice Marriot.

The staff were friendly & helpful. It was hot & humid, but the beverage cart came around frequently.

The greens were recently aerated, so they were slow and bumpy making putting frustrating.

Nice bar atmosphere with a good selection of beverages, apps & meals.

Overall a good course to play and a fun day - I will return.

Course played well based on the fact the greens and fairways had just been punched. Pace of play was great. Practice area in great shape.
Wish we would have know that the maintenance had just been finished.

On vacation from Ireland and first experience of desert golf. I managed to hit the ball straight and only caught one bunker but hit wayward shots and this course will hurt you. I plan to play it again before I leave.

Greens were slow. Didn't love the tee lines from the back box with driver so hit 3 & 5 woods all afternoon. Hoping to have a better experience at the Faldo course on Saturday.

Course is pretty and in great shape. Staff very friendly and attentive. Comes with range balls and they were able to get us out ahead of our tee time. The greens were in great shape as well.
