About
The Palmer Course at Wildfire Golf Club is an 18-hole golf course designed by Arnold Palmer and built in 1997. The par-72 golf course measures 7,145 yards from the tournament tees. "I enjoy designing golf courses that celebrate the sheer fun of golf," Palmer said about this course, "and Wildfire is exactly that."
The Bermuda grass Palmer Course at Wildfire Golf Club is one of two championship courses at the club. It features a GPS option that offers golfers detailed mapping of the Faldo and Palmer courses, precise yardages for tee shots and approach shots to the greens, and the chance to order breakfast and lunch from the golf cart. Additional features include communication with the golf shop, a CBS Sportsline ticker with all scores 24 hours a day, and the leader board for tournaments. Its sibling, the Faldo golf course, also features the system.

Fast greens
Great course. Greens were excellent. be careful to not drive through the fairway. Did eat or drink so no opinion.
Nice, fair desert course.
Nice course. Some tricky carries off the tee, otherwise generally quite fair. Fun course.
WILDFIRE-PALMER
GREAT COURSE!! SUPER FAST GREENS! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
This course is fun to play.
1st time course players and my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed this course. Early morning frost on the greens delayed afternoon start up a little bit but we were able to finish the 18 holes. Played some other courses in the Scottsdale area and enjoyed this course the most.
Wish it was a little more competitively priced.
Great First Time Exerience
Everything came together for a great day.
Weather, conditions, staff...all were great.
A frost delay could have detracted, but the staff did a great job of managing the queue.
great place to play
very nice course and conditions, enjoyed it. will play it again in future. great proshop but pricy. glad i booked with golfnow, price was twice as high at course.
Very relaxing round of golf
I had a very good experience overall. Facilities, Course & Staff were great. It was fun to play a course (Palmer course) I had seen on TV as a LPGA event.
Communication
There ws a frost delay and the course was very poor at letting people know when they would be able to play. No notification and long waits on the phone to get information. Guys in the proshop had no clue. Left the decision to the guys at the bag drop. I was given 4 different times by the proshop. Non of which was correct.
Overpriced
The 4+ star rating for this course is much too high. There are much nicer courses to play in the valley at a lower rate. I won't be coming back.
resort course
The course was in good shape except the greens were very slow. Pace of play was excellent. Played in just under 4 hours as a foursome. Great course to start your vacation on, especially if your staying at the resort. Fees were ok at 109.00 a person. Perfect weather.
Great Consitions
The course was in great shape, but that expected for this time of the year. The greens were running pretty fast and very true. The fairways were in great shape and hitting from it was fantastic. The staff was very inviting and made everyone feel like they were a member for the day.
Slow greens
Good track. Greens appeared not to have been cut on a Saturday. Very slow in relationship to all other tcourses played on this trip.
Top tier
I played the Palmer course, I had played the Faldo before. The Palmer course will beat you up if you aren't in the fairway. Highly recommended. Play the Palmer for a challenge, play the Faldo for visual beauty.
ABSOLUTELY STUNNING COURSE
WE WENT INTO THIS COURSE NOT REALLY KNOWING ANYTHING ABOUT IT NOT MUCH RESEARCH OTHER THEN WHAT WE FOUND THROUGH GOLF NOW, I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COURSE TO ANYONE WE STOPPED IN AND HAD SOME LUNCH PRIOR TO TEEING OFF IT WAS EXCEPTIONAL WE CHOSE TO PLAY FROM THE WHITE TEES I BELIEVE APPROX 6100 YARDS IT MADE THE DAY THAT MUCH MORE ENJOYABLE FANTASTIC SCENERY CHALLENGING HOLES STUNNING COURSE, I CAN'T WAIT TO GO BACK!!
Palmer/Faldo
I played both back to back. I had a great time on both courses. Both courses were cart path only, but thats okay the walk to the middle makes you feel like the pro's. Palmer takes it easy on you mostly. Faldo loves him some bunkers. Better be dialed in on the Faldo or your sand skills will improve with all the practice you will be receiving that day. The Blood Mary's kept everyones spirits up so did the beer.

This was a great course and hotel property for a very fun stay-cation. The golf course was in better shape than I thought it would be considering the impending overseed...
Good Desert Golf Track
Very good condition overall. Lush fairways and very thick rough. It's a good design; typical of a Palmer Course. Difficult greens that were not rolling quick owing to a sanding recently. All in all, I would definitely play this course again.
Great course but slow pace
Pace of play should have been better. The course smartly allows 10 min. between tee times but the marshal does little to speed up the slow players resulting in a backed up course
Worth a visit at right time of year.
The time of year meant the course is a little burnt but this did mot spoil the enjoyment.
Would def recommend.
