Dove Valley Ranch Golf Club
About
Robert Trent Jones II designed the golf course at Dove Valley Ranch Golf Club, creating a championship course to shift gently from open play to intimate foliage along Willow Wash. The golf delivers Southwestern authenticity, with etroglyph-etched boulders marking holes. It differs from the "target" golf courses of Arizona in that it features player-friendly golf, manicuring transition spaces so that golfers face minimal penalty when recovering.
At the Dove Valley Ranch Golf Club, Robert Trent Jones II demands strategic and varied shooting, meaning the round of golf will challenge as well as refresh golfers.
After the round at the Dove Valley Ranch Golf Club, head back to the casual elegance of the clubhouse.

Cart Paths Only
I gave Dove Valley Golf Course a 5-Star rating overall, however my only major complaint is that they have a “cart paths only” policy currently in place. This made our round take far longer than necessary and I honestly do not plan on going back until I am advised of a change. That being said, I loved the course and it is a top notch type of place to play.
Dove Valley Ranch
The course is in great shape. The greens were fast and also in great shape. It was enjoyable course.
Wonderful course
Course was in great shape after reseeding. Didn’t like the cart path only rules, but understand after overseeding.
Fairways and greens were in really good shape, with greens a little slow, again to over seeding.
Fun course!
Cart Path Only (CPO)
DVRGC has just reopening after reseeding. As a result, it is CPO, making for a much longer outing with those that use carts (I walk so no problem for me). Tees and fairways were in good condition, while some of the rough remained rough (a real challenge from which to hit). Greens were noticeably slow, still needing time to mature. Most sand traps were in good shape, though some were quite wet from earlier watering. Wait a few more weeks for it to be in its best playing condition.
Too expensive and cart path only.
This may be a $77 course under perfect conditions in March. But, during the cart path only phase of the overseeding process, it is a $40 course. I won't play the course again until they send me a $37 refund X 3.
First day after overseeing
Always enjoy this course, layout, views & staff. Greens were a little slow but all in all the course was in great shape.
Could be better
Starter was a jerk, not at all helpful, needs to be trained to be a civil
Great staff, great condition, but bad back 9 layout
This is a really hard review to write, because this is really two golf courses. The staff is great, the conditions are pretty good for the summer, the price is right, but you get to hole # 11 and it's suddenly a completely different golf course. I've never understood why blind tee shots are en vogue. To me, it's just lazy course design. A cheap trick to make a hole harder. Holes 11, 12, 14, 15 are so obscured by trees to the point you really don't know where to aim, unless you've played here 10 times, I suppose. Hole 15 is a par 3, 205yds from the black. Which I think is long, but ok, that's fine. Then you walk up to the tee box and you cannot see the green. Absolutely zero part of it. Just bushes. Call me a whiner but I don't enjoy that sort of course design, I'm sorry.
For this reason I would not recommend a high handicapper try this course, or if so, stop at #10.
