Dove Valley Ranch Golf Club
About
Robert Trent Jones II designed the golf course at Dove Valley Ranch Golf Club, creating a championship course to shift gently from open play to intimate foliage along Willow Wash. The golf delivers Southwestern authenticity, with etroglyph-etched boulders marking holes. It differs from the "target" golf courses of Arizona in that it features player-friendly golf, manicuring transition spaces so that golfers face minimal penalty when recovering.
At the Dove Valley Ranch Golf Club, Robert Trent Jones II demands strategic and varied shooting, meaning the round of golf will challenge as well as refresh golfers.
After the round at the Dove Valley Ranch Golf Club, head back to the casual elegance of the clubhouse.

Dan from Seattle
I played Monday and Tuesday, great layout, fairways and greens top notch. If I have a complaint it would be because carts couldn’t be taken out in the fairways due to the reseeding. I had somewhat of an issue when say 170 yards and closer it made it difficult for club selection, I know this is a problem only during the re-seeding season , my only suggestion is to maybe have some cheap stake areas marking 200 - 150 - 100 yard markers. I’m a bogey golfer but the fairways and greens made me better even though it is a far tougher layout than what I play back home. Everyone there seemed like they like what they do and that adds to its class, thanks so much for the experience.
Underrated Gem!
This course is one of the most underrated is all of the valley! Conditions are always excellent and the course can challenge golfers of all skill levels. Food and service is always outstanding as well! I highly recommend going to check out this hidden gem before the secret gets out!
Confirm Other Reviews
Other reviews mention two cautionary faults with the layout, namely tight fairways and overly lengthy forward tee configuration. I played the course for the first time today along with my wife and another couple. Neither of the ladies were told of the course reviews before or during the round but both struggled to reach the par four and fives in regulation and repeatedly mentioned not getting much of a break in distance on the forward tees. In my opinion the fairway width was more in the middle category. I have played on much tighter and wider tracks. Overall the course personnel, pro shop and practice area were very nice. I would enjoy playing there again, but my wife would probably pass.
Just fun
Great course in pretty dang good condition. Overall its just pure fun is all I can say, the front 9 is wide open fun golf that leads into tough desert target golf on the back. Greens rolled true and fast and will continue to get better and the fairways were fantastic, first time out here and plan to come again soon.
Wow...
Just wow. This course was worth the hour drive from my house. The greens were fast but true. Fairways excellent shape. Very challenging course but I think it suits all types of abilities. I love courses that offer a combo tee box. We played black/gold which came out to about 6800 yards give or take. Will come back again.
really nice semi-private course
really good semi-private course. challenging holes, greens probably slower than usual. Really not a walkable course. many shorter holes, a few very long holes. very pretty course.
terrific practice facility.
Fairways were a bit long, but had just come out of over seeding so not a huge deal. Greens were firm and in good shape. The whole staff was great and very friendly. Overall fun course!
Dove Valley Ranch
Too much deep gravel, greens were very fair, nice fairways. Course in very nice shape - appreciate that it's not cart path only. Beer is too expensive though:)
Friendly front nine. Difficult back nine.
The course was in wonderful shape and we could drive on the course.
I’ve always liked the front nine.
The back nine has some quirky holes and not as much fun to play.
Great Value/Forward Tees too Long
I know men don't care, but the forward tees on this course are too long for the average woman golfer - at close to 5,400 yards, this course is just a slog for women to play. I don't understand courses who don't get proper yardages for women to play from. The average male golfer gets a proper set of tees to play from, so why can't women? The forward tees should not be more than 5,000 yards. The course is very nice and the staff are all great. We are new to the area and bought Loyalty cards here but I am very disappointed in the yardage for women and will probably look to play at a different course. If the average male golfer had to play from 7,000 yards they would be disappointed, too.
