The Links Golf Club At Queen Creek
About
Editor's Note: Course closed for business. There are plans for redevelopments into a residential area.
Set in a private, gated golf community located in Queen Creek, The Links at Queen Creek is not a typical Arizona desert course. Most of the course including the signature third hole, features ample trees, grass and water. This Sam Wese design, which opened in 1994, features four sets of teeboxes to accomodate everyone from low-handicappers to novice golfers. The Links at Queen Creek is a popular host course for tournaments, as the staff is skilled in event planning, execution and promotion.

Enjoyed My First Time at the Links
What I enjoyed about this is the fairways were wide and green so it allowed me not to lose any of my brand new balls! Some challenging water holes but I enjoyed the Green and the Pine trees....felt like I was in Northern Wisconsin for a bit.
Wish I'd known it was going to be Caert Path Only! Ruined the day
My wife and I were used to playing 9 holes with out just about 80 YO brother-in-law walking and using pull carts. The Links advertised a SPECIAL for $25 WITH cart later in the day- tee time was 3:30. We got there closer to 3 and set out, only to find the course marked, "Cart Path Only". There was no mention of this when we booked the tee time online. No mention when we paid the rest of the fee, just a small sign at the first tee box. It only took 2 holes for me to figure out this was not going to work. The reason we chose this course was because the CRT was included BUT having the brother-in-law drive along the path, walk all the way on the other side of the fairway to his ball, then back to the care and go back and forth all day just was not going to work. Least enjoyable 9 holes I have played in over 50 years of playing golf- ALL because it was "cart Path Only" I've been in AZ for over 3 weeks and there has yet to be ANY rain, just did not understand the Cart Path ONLY!. I won't be returning to The Links without asking about conditions!
Can't wait to go back
Great layout. No bunkers but plenty of water to negotiate. Shorter par 4s overall. Perfect for short hitters like me. Excellent value. Very friendly staff.
Easy course but SLOW
Decent course that was pretty easy and enjoyable. But pace was soooo slow. 4 us played a 2 vs. 2 scramble and it still took us over 4 hours because there was a group of 5 or 6 in front of us. Why that was even allowed is beyond me. My guess is they are regulars and know the staff.
Great time at the Links
Played today at 7am. Super cold for first 6 holes, but course conditions were great! Layout is challenging on some holes, but forgiving on others, makes for a great day!
Nice Course
This is a pretty course and the fairways are in fantastic condition. The greens, however, were not in the best shape - a little bumpy.
Link's QC
Love this track. So much character. Was a bit soggy, as are most courses here at this time as they water the heck out of the winter rye.
Great Morning at The Links
I enjoy this course very much. The greens and fairways are in great condition with a few wet areas. The combination of trees, streams and lakes makes this a great course. Starter was right on the dime and getting people moving. Pace was great today- 18 holes in a little over 3 hours. I look forward to the next chance to play here.
Fun
Fun course fun course in nice shape but the greens are terribly small

I do frequent this course. Since you went out late in the afternoon I will assume there was no starter there. That little cart only sign on the proxy is for whole number one only. It is just a small simple reminder that whole number one is cart path only. So sorry that happened to you. It is a fun course to play. Hopefully you will give it a try again.
