The Links Golf Club At Queen Creek
About
Editor's Note: Course closed for business. There are plans for redevelopments into a residential area.
Set in a private, gated golf community located in Queen Creek, The Links at Queen Creek is not a typical Arizona desert course. Most of the course including the signature third hole, features ample trees, grass and water. This Sam Wese design, which opened in 1994, features four sets of teeboxes to accomodate everyone from low-handicappers to novice golfers. The Links at Queen Creek is a popular host course for tournaments, as the staff is skilled in event planning, execution and promotion.

took way to long to play
would not go back I'm sorry but 5 hour rounds when the course puts out several 5 someones.
The course was fun to play.
Great day. All went well. We enjoyed playing. If this is not good enough scrap my review.
Need new grounds keeper
The pin locations are absolutely horrible..... On the side of extremely sloped hills or barely on the green at all. I played on the weekend so you think they would have had the pins in a easier location to speed up pace but I guess not. Also there's a par 3 that plays 230 from tips and 145 from whites..... Seriously who designed this course
Staff Requires Training
Difficulty started at check in when the fellow behind the counter could not find anyone's reservation on his computer and suggested that we were not booked. After a short argument the started showed him that all of our names were on his list but for some reason he couldn't find it on his computer screen. Seemed obvious that he would benefit from some training on how to use the system. Once issue was resolved and we finished paying for our round it was time to head over to the 1st tee and the starter. We were 20 minutes ahead of our scheduled tee time so our group stopped at the adjacent (50 feet away) putting green to warm up when the starter came over to us insisting that we proceed with teeing off immediately (20 minutes ahead of our actual tee time) as he wants to keep the course on time. We complied and proceeded with teeing off without our warm up only to come to 3 groups of 4somes waiting on the second tee box. Again the staff could greatly benefit from training which in this case would allow players adequate time per hole and not bunch up the groups. The 20 minutes standing and waiting on the 2nd tee would be more pleasant for all warming up at the practice facilities instead. Unfortunately that extra 20 minutes equated to a 5+ hour round as there were no marshals present. Decent little course being a little short in length but fun to play but was unfortunately overshadowed by a staff that was lacking.
nice fun course
not too challenging, but a fun round. Course was in great shape as were the greens...not even 1 sand trap, but some water. Several doglegs that take some planning, but fairly open so you could play from an adjoining fairway if necessary. We would go back.
Nice layout of a shorter course!
I liked the course but I feel that the facility was not up to the standard we expected for the price!
Good shorter course
For those that do not what to play a real long hard course, this is a good shorter course. Still need a driver but shorter irons or wedge into greens
Course conditions
For as many people that run through this course, it is in excelent condition! Always fun to play!
Great golf
This is a beautiful course that works well for inexperienced golfers. A person can enjoy the weather and companionship without feeling pressure from golfers following.
Not LOng but Good
This is a nice public course with not many long holes but we all know all the scoring is from 150 yards and in. Greens were quick and true fairways and roughs were in good shape.
A good golf course andI really enjoyed the staff
The golf was very good, short tight course and accuracy is a must. The staff was excellent very outgoing and friendly. Too many courses in this area have a very serious stuffy staff.
Will be back
This was the first time playing this course. Only had time to play 9 holes, but was quite impressed with the front nine. The course is just challenging enough for an average player. Greens were in good shape and fairly quick. Will likely play again in the next couple weeks.
OK at best
Never seen a marshal while on the course, waited on every hole for the group in front of us, 2 couples who never waived us up even when we got to the tee on a par 3 before they left... Pack a lunch if you play there
Friendly course
A pleasant and friendly course. Conditions were very good. It is short, but all in all a good way to spend four hours. Home cooked food, gracious staff and courteous marshalls. Pace of play was excellent. I will return.
Good way to spend the day.
The course is challenging and fun to play.
The weather was good and course was in good condition.
Nice shape & good value.
Course was in good shape and the price was reasonable. Only had beer and wine for sale. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Enjoyable to play
A nice layout with some challenges for the average golfer.
Perhaps the only down side to the course was that the clubhouse closed very early and the spouses had to sit outside in the waning light (and rapidly cooling weather) to wait for us to come off the course.
Other than that, the course staff were friendly.
Generally good!
There was a morning "frost" delay, so we started about 1 hr. later than scheduled, making it difficult to finish before dark. We drove in after putting out on 16. I'm not sure if it was just slow because of the delay or if they were a bit over booked. We enjoyed our round, course was in pretty good condition.
