About
The course at the Orange Tree Golf Resort provides an excellent game of golf in a luxurious setting. The Parkland-style layout features fairways lined with mature trees, which not only enhance the natural beauty of the golf course but can also greatly affect shots. Four lakes are situated on the flat terrain of the course, providing water hazards that come into play on five holes. Sand bunkers also surround every green. Orange Tree Golf Resort's course finishes with its signature hole, where water cuts into the fairway and proceeds to run down the left side all the way to the green. It also requires accuracy on the approach shot in order to hit the small putting surface that is surrounded by tricky elements.

Friendly starter - friendly round!
I have played this course a hand full of times in recent years and have had the pleasure to have Chuck the starter begin my rounds a few of those times. His demeanor and statesmanship bring an air of class to this course. After Chuck started it off for us , the course followed through.
Quality not balanced with cost to play
Have played course for many years and do not recall it looking as bad as it did. Fairways half dead…. Greens very sandy (understanding them being punched)…. But for the cost…. The course is literally ripping off the consumer. They know it’s not anywhere close to a 60-70 dollar course right now…. There are muni’s in way better shape for less. Very disappointed and will not continue to pay the prices for the low value.
Very nice public course
Played on an extremely windy day; while it made the 90+ degree heat more bearable, it made playing the course challenging. the course, itself, was nice. The greens were in great shape, but rolled extremely fast.
Would definitely play here again.
Stay far far away from this course
One of the worst golf experiences that I have had in a long time. Course is in horrible shape. Fairways were extremely burnt, tee boxes were horrible. Pace of play was beyond a joke. Why have marshalls if they can’t enforce pace of play. Overall, just a crappy Sunday of golf.

In Honor of Marilynn Smith-LPGA Founder
We golfed after having our annual Marilynn Smith Legacy Pro Am & Tea at Kierland Golf course. It was a great way to honor Ms. Smith's legacy by playing the course she lived on! I loved the older trees and flower beds, the layout is pretty straight forward, and the greens rolled true. The staff was AMAZING and helpful. Thank you Orange Tree!
Great Afternoon of Golf
I know it's the time of year when the grass is changing, so the course conditions did not surprise me. There were many tight lies which made chipping challenging. The greens were very fast. But, the pace of play was perfect. The surrounding area is beautiful. And the layout was really fun. I will definitely be back.

What happened to Orange Tree
I must have 75-100 rounds in at Orange Tree. I get the transition from season to season can effect the course conditions. BUT yesterday I was VERY disappointed with OT. Tee boxes were a disaster. Fairways were a disaster burned out and very dry.. Greens were good. It seems like they forgot to water the course for a week. I don't see me playing there again very soon. THAT bums me out because my wife and I love this course.

Everything was all in all good, the greens were in very good condition the fairways were in good condition…
Sub-optimal
This course has seen better days. There are many bare spots. Some tee boxes are mostly sand filled from over use. Greens would benefit from being rolled. I've played this historic course for more than 30 years. Shade trees are a benefit over desert courses. Many trees are dead and suffer from neglect. Fortunately, most of fairways were free of leaves that might otherwise make finding a white ball hard to find. The cost for this course is much higher than the golf value it provides. This course is capable of supporting fees in the high $100s approaching $200 if management put more care into course maintenance.
Average at best.
The fairways were in good condition. The greens were super dry and hard and fast. The pace of play was super slow. Got to 10 and had three groups on the tee waiting to go.
