About
The course at the Orange Tree Golf Resort provides an excellent game of golf in a luxurious setting. The Parkland-style layout features fairways lined with mature trees, which not only enhance the natural beauty of the golf course but can also greatly affect shots. Four lakes are situated on the flat terrain of the course, providing water hazards that come into play on five holes. Sand bunkers also surround every green. Orange Tree Golf Resort's course finishes with its signature hole, where water cuts into the fairway and proceeds to run down the left side all the way to the green. It also requires accuracy on the approach shot in order to hit the small putting surface that is surrounded by tricky elements.

Sunny Friday at Orange Tree
Very nice day with good friends at Orange Tree. Sunny and 75, perfect playing conditions. Course was in solid shape, fairways and greens in very nice condition. Pace of play was decent given we were surrounded front and back by two different bachelor parties. $200 for the round seems quite high to me, but given the time of year with Spring Training and Spring Break, you take what you can get. Staff were excellent across the board and the outdoor bar at the end of the round was a pleasant surprise. All in all a very nice day!
OrangeTree is a great value option
Course has a cool and fun layout. Great value for a solid course here in Phoenix/Scottsdale area.
Easy peasy course
If you’re looking for an easy golf course that isn’t too expensive this is for you. It’s perfect for a 15+ handicap that just wants to have fun. Course was in good shape, greens were rolling nice and fairways were green. The driving range wasn’t anything to write home to mom about but it works. We got around in just over 3.5 hours but that’s not the norm. This course was perfect for my wife.
Great Experience at Orange Tree
Played OT with a friend yesterday. Tee’d off at 2:44, and was able to finish 18 in about 3:40! Had foursomes in front of us too. Pleasantly surprised by course conditions. Very much enjoyed the round!
Disappointed
Always liked Orange Tree. It’s a better version of Starfire. However this last tee time brought down my opinion in a big way.
Somehow there was a 1 hour frost delay. We found out when we showed up to the pro shop. There should have been some communication, we didn’t need an hour and 45 minutes to warm up. After that the round was 5 hours. Spent a lot of time putting and chipping, only the greens were not the same as the practice green.
I’ll just have to wait until the summer when the course rates match the course we just played.
Course has poor conditions throughout fairways, tees and greens
Poor turf conditions throughout course. We were hitting off dirt too many times.on first hole fgolf balls from range we’re literally falling from the sky around us on fairway, some quite close. Way overpriced for what this course is there are many better choices.

Really like playing here
Everything is so well organized at Orange Tree. Starter is great, inside personal are friendly and course is improved over last year.
Orange Tree Scottsdale
Good condition except for rough / dormant grass is too short, muddy, tire tracks - need to play much of it as ground under repair.
Work in Progress
Greens were sanded yesterday, so that was disappointing. I understand the greens are recovering from a fungus which affected them last year.
Fairways were in excellent condition. Pace of play was good - marshal made sure players moved along.
Pro shop staff very friendly as was Chuck, the starter.
Very enjoyable round. I’d like to play again when the greens have fully recovered.
