Orange Tree Golf & Conference Resort
About
The course at the Orange Tree Golf Resort provides an excellent game of golf in a luxurious setting. The Parkland-style layout features fairways lined with mature trees, which not only enhance the natural beauty of the golf course but can also greatly affect shots. Four lakes are situated on the flat terrain of the course, providing water hazards that come into play on five holes. Sand bunkers also surround every green. Orange Tree Golf Resort's course finishes with its signature hole, where water cuts into the fairway and proceeds to run down the left side all the way to the green. It also requires accuracy on the approach shot in order to hit the small putting surface that is surrounded by tricky elements.

Golfer Reviews
Needs to be maintained
For a “Golf Resort” this place has potential based on location and course layout. But the conditions from the fairways to greens and bunkers it’s just not worth the price they charge. Especially when it’s during the winter or fall they charge as if it’s the same quality of TROON. They need to start investing more money into the condition of the course from the grass and so on. Even if you have a great shot off the tee and find the fairway you’ll end up seeing the lie of your ball on hard, dry dirt that makes the play if the ball super difficult to hit since it feels like concrete. Wouldn’t recommend playing here anymore would rather go to Starfire or any other courses reasonably priced with better conditions.
1st time it Orange Tree
Course was extremely dry with no fault of the staff. It was hot 108, they were watering while we were playing but it was just too hot. We even saw 2 coyotes looking for water on the course.I had to change my reservation and Thanks to Chance he was able accommodate me with another time. Overall I think the course would have been much nicer if it wasn’t so hot, can be expected in Arizona this time of year. We will play later on in the year for sure.
Scruffy greens
Not bad for the money. Get used to having to hit the ball twice as hard as you normally would on putts. Friendly staff, and we went around in 3 1/2 hours.
Orange Tree golf
Fairways were full of dirt and dead grass. Greens were ok but had lots of debris making your ball bounce.
Lots of shade in summer!
Our first experience at Orange Tree was great! We will definitely return.. The course is flat so no awkward feet placement. There is beautiful shade.
Experienced golfers will enjoy but good for not so skilled, as well. Only a little water & sand. Staff was helpful, especially the starter, Chuck. Lunch was great too at course restaurant. Great patio with misters in the summer.
Schedule when open
Was all excited about having a 5am Saturday morning tee time on a wonderful course. Drove the 40 min and thought it was kinda strange the parking lot was empty. Walked to the clubhouse and it was locked, I did see a sign stating they opened at 6. After about 15 min did see a staff member who confirmed to me that their earliest tee time was 604. I showed him my reservation which clearly showed a 5am tee time. He apologized not knowing how this could happen. Anyway i finally got to tee off at 555 before a 4some behind me. Golf and everything else was fantastic!!!
Orange Tree Has Improved
I wrote a review of the course over the last 4-5 years, noting that it should be embarrassed to call itself a "golf resort." This was because of rock-hard traps and "silly" painted rocks that marked tee boxes. That's now changed, with sand in the bunkers and professional tee markers. The course was groomed well. The greens remain a "challenge," as do the tee boxes--far too many are not flat, which could easily be changed leaving you to hit "downhill" or "uphill."
Good Value Course
Summer rates make this course a great value. We enjoyed the course layout and the fairways are player friendly. Greens are in good condition, well worth looking at this course for your next round.
Nice course
The course is in good shape and I enjoyed playing here.
Greens were a bit grainy and uphill putts needed to be putted extremely hard.
Fun course
Its a fun course, well kept, the pace was ok but we had 3 bachelor parties in front of us, when we caught up withe them, the marshall told us to start again to hole 1, so we played 27 holes that round, fun course.
Nice course!
Its a fun course, we were playing at a great pace until we caught up with 2 bachelor parties, we were warned they were in front of us, we caught up withen at the turn, so we decided to go back to 1 and start all over, I’ll be playing here again, staff was great (cart girl)
Ball Marks EVERYWHERE on greens
Apparently no players at this course repair ball marks on the greens and ALMOST none of them repair divots in the fairways. Other than that it was fine
