Orange Tree Golf & Conference Resort

Surrounded by condos, Orange Tree has been around for a long time. I grew up in Phoenix and played this course many times. Trees line most fairways that are tightly packed in a small footprint. But the course does not feel crowded and each hole stands on its own. The 18th is a nice finishing hole that ends a pleasant round.

Have played this course several times over the last few years. It's in much better shape than last year. Greens are back to normal and were fine. Staff were very friendly, the starter Chip was great to chat with.

Overall good value for the price we paid.

I have always found Orange Tree to be good value., but they have raised their game this year by improving course conditions. A tip of the hat to the course management staff!

Great experience in Arizona heat. Staff very helpful and friendly. Course improvements noted. Gentleman’s tees flat, rather than a mountain goat’s home. Playable and relaxing layout.

Why do these places think its okay to sell tee times 10 minutes after a tournament goes off. Two holes we had to stop play and let them come back and replay the holes...we waited 10 to 15 minutes on every tee, then several minutes on several of the fairways...took over 5 hours to play 18. The driving range leaves a little to be desired for a resort golf course

Was able to start earlier than our 1:16 pm tee time thanks to the kind starter. Our two-some was able to complete 18 holes in 3.5 hours so pace of play was great. I found lots of sand in my round but the course played fair. It was a 105 degree day in March and the beverage cart met us three times which was sufficient.

The fairway was in great condition but there was a lot of dirt patches if you strayed.

Despite the unseasonable warm temperatures, I had an enjoyable 18 holes at Orange Tree. Very good course.

The conditions were below average here, greens ran at different speeds some greens had some spots that were dead from disease or something. Not many areas like that. For the price this course wasn’t worth it.

Greens are much improved since I last played. Also, there were wet, soggy grass areas previously that have been taken care of.

Very nice day with good friends at Orange Tree. Sunny and 75, perfect playing conditions. Course was in solid shape, fairways and greens in very nice condition. Pace of play was decent given we were surrounded front and back by two different bachelor parties. $200 for the round seems quite high to me, but given the time of year with Spring Training and Spring Break, you take what you can get. Staff were excellent across the board and the outdoor bar at the end of the round was a pleasant surprise. All in all a very nice day!

Course has a cool and fun layout. Great value for a solid course here in Phoenix/Scottsdale area.

A bachelor party a few holes ahead of us severely slowed play for everyone. I quit after 9 holes

If you’re looking for an easy golf course that isn’t too expensive this is for you. It’s perfect for a 15+ handicap that just wants to have fun. Course was in good shape, greens were rolling nice and fairways were green. The driving range wasn’t anything to write home to mom about but it works. We got around in just over 3.5 hours but that’s not the norm. This course was perfect for my wife.

Played OT with a friend yesterday. Tee’d off at 2:44, and was able to finish 18 in about 3:40! Had foursomes in front of us too. Pleasantly surprised by course conditions. Very much enjoyed the round!

Always liked Orange Tree. It’s a better version of Starfire. However this last tee time brought down my opinion in a big way.

Somehow there was a 1 hour frost delay. We found out when we showed up to the pro shop. There should have been some communication, we didn’t need an hour and 45 minutes to warm up. After that the round was 5 hours. Spent a lot of time putting and chipping, only the greens were not the same as the practice green.

I’ll just have to wait until the summer when the course rates match the course we just played.

Poor turf conditions throughout course. We were hitting off dirt too many times.on first hole fgolf balls from range we’re literally falling from the sky around us on fairway, some quite close. Way overpriced for what this course is there are many better choices.
