About
TPC Scottsdale has earned a host of honors, including a spot among the top three Arizona golf facilities for service and among the "Top 50 Golf and Resort Destinations in the World," the latter by no less than Conde Nast Traveler.
The Champions Course at TPC Scottsdale sits where the Desert Course did, but offers the thrills of golfing a new course, this one designed by architect Randy Heckenkemper, who did his best to fit the new golf course into the untouched desert land that surrounds it.
The Champions Course at TPC Scottsdale rivals its better-known sibling golf course, the Stadium Course, with all the good looks and good golf one might expect in the Scottsdale area.

Overpriced Unnecessary Cart Path only
Course was simple to point of lacking imaginative layout. Staff friendly but didnt feel it was comparable to other courses in area that charged less. Plus cartpath only conditions were unreasonable the course was dry despite rain the night before.
Course was in good shape overall. Best greens we played for the 3 rounds we were in Scottsdale, fast yet receptive. Nice fairways, sand was good, tees were in good shape. Only place we played that had GPS on the carts. Pace of play was quite acceptable, never really had an issue waiting on the group in front, or felt any pressure from the group behind. Lotta noise from the airport across the road. The air traffic would be the only thing that might keep me away next time we're in the area.
Good challenge
Nice course- conditions were perfect- about 4-6 weeks out from over seeding. Pretty narrow for an average golfer off the tee. Only thing that needs improved is the bunkers, but that’s just the desert for ya.
Wear earplugs!
The course is beautiful and the staff great. But the noise level during play was awful. Much of the course is directly under flight path of smaller jets arriving at nearby regional airport. Every few minutes felt like duck and cover. Kind of ruined the experience for me.
Spongy conditions and very slow play
I’m not sure why the course was so soft? We found plugging even in the fairways. They had not gotten any recent rains so can only assume it was watering issues. No ranger and had to wait on every shot. I don’t think I’ll play there again as at the price they charge, there are a lot of options. Too bad too!
Enjoyed my round at TPC Champions
Everything was great, course in great shape, friendly and helpful staff. My game was a little rusty from not playing but played decent.
Nice but not the best for the money
I prefer SunRidge in Fountain Hills over TPC for the money. The views were nice, greens were fast. Staff was friendly. Course was nothing special.
