Course Highlights
Troon North consistently impresses with flawless greens, well-maintained fairways, and a challenging desert layout framed by stunning Arizona scenery. Attentive staff and strong overall value make this one of Phoenix's top public course experiences.

Rating 73.2

Pinnacle at Troon North represents a stunning, challenging golf experience blended into the high Desert's natural beauty with steep arroyos, natural washes and forests of saguaros and desert foliage. Portions of some fairways are hidden behind boulders and hills. Huge greens surrounded by large bunkers and sloping terrain challenge golfers on every approach shot.

A round of golf on the Pinnacle Course at the Troon North Golf Club kicks off on a par-4 hole that measures 392 yards from the Black tees. Things get crazy long on the 16th hole, a par 5 that plays to 609 yards from the Black tees. By that measure, the 18th hole will be a cakewalk, at par-4 and just 447 yards from the Black tee to the clubhouse.

After finishing the Pinnacle Course at Troon North Golf Club, head to the Grille, which offers a view of others trying to complete the course you've conquered, as well as the desert.

The Mountain course is absolutely an awesome but rewarding challenge.

I was very well pleased with this course. It is a greater challenge than many courses that I have played yet very rewarding.

Most scenic desert course, every hole memorable.

From #1 to #18, beautiful looking desert course in excellent condition even tho greens were punched 3 wks earlier. Fairways in great shape, a really pretty golf course. Play it back and you'll have all the challenge you can take. Play it up and its most enjoyable even in the summer heat (109).

Beautiful course in great condition. People need to learn how to repair ball marks..

The course played very well. The greens were a bit beat up as there were a ton of ball marks. Would recommend this course!

Epic scenery on a beautiful golf course

Troon north golf club is the standard at which desert golf is graded. Everything about the place is perfect. Since it was in the later stages of the afternoon, the staff offered to let us play our choice of Monument or Pinnacle. So they basically gave us the option of either playing the #1 or #3 nicest course in Arizona. Either way we were in for a treat, but we chose Monument because we had never played it before.

The course itself was beautifully manicured, the fairways and the rough were filled with lush green grass. The bunkers were fair and had lots of sand in them. The greens were a little slow, but that only helped my game as they were very undulated and sometimes tricky to read. My only complaint would be that the greens were a little on the bumpy side, but that is to be expected this late in the year.

My girlfriend loved the wild life that lives on the course. there are lots of bunnies watching you tee off as they nibble on grass. We encountered a large gila monster perched on top of a rock, but he was way to quick and ran off before I was able to snap a picture of him.

Was looking forward to playing this course

Mos t of my group had not played this course before, but we had heard wonderful things about it. None of us were disappointed in Troon North Monument. I have played courses all over the US and would say this is without a doubt one of nicest I have ever played. The condition was pristine. The layout was outstanding. I loved the wide choice of tee boxes to hit from. We played the gold tees and had a great mixture of long and short holes. The views of area mountains was cool (several elevated tee boxes). Can't wait to play the other course at Troon North in a few weeks.

Always a fun challenge at the Pinnacle Course

Headed out for an afternoon round on the Pinnacle Course. It had been about a year since my last visit and as always it does not disappoint.

Conditions were very good all through the entire course and the greens rolled fantastic.

Play was fast until we made the turn. As we were only a two some the ranger should have had the group in front of us let us pass. They seemed oblivious to our existence even after I brought a club to them that they had left. O well no biggie.

Great Course---Inflated Gren fees

An awesome course for WOW factor and visual scenery. Course difficulty is moderate slope is considerable but it does not play difficult. Green speed 10-11. Fairways generous off the tee. Approach shots are the key to success. Bunkers a pristine.

great course, if you have the money.

The only downside was the $300 green fee. Everything was pristine and the course was challenging.

This is a must play in Scottsdale

I know its expensive but this is truly one of the jewels of the desert. I played the monument course. Beautiful design that offers a fair challenge. I'd personally recommend playing one tee up from normal as you do have several blind type shots. We played with a forecaddie and let me tell you it is worth the $30 for one of those. They can really help you. I never lost one ball and I always knew where the hole went and what proper placement was supposed to be. Fantastic food and beverage facility as well. Staff was incredibly nice. I had a great time and so did my dad. We played the course in 4.2 hours with our foursome. The course was crowded but we never really had to wait nor did the group behind us have to wait.

Great day and lots of fun challenging holes

All was perfect except two things Marshall did not move along group that was way too slow more than a hole behind clearly did nothing when asked. Should have finished in 4 hours easily was 4 hrs 45 minutes. Secondly, when round was finished carts all over the parking lot no one to wash clubs so stopped cart took bags gentleman at starter table informed us of our not leaving cart parked in wrong place etc., well then do your job. Most Troon courses never miss . It was a free round from golf channel, if I would have paid 200 Bucks would have said more.

Overpriced. Horribly slow pace of play.

Went for a desert course, got a housing development. Not worth the substantial greens fee.
