Coyote Lakes Golf Club
About
Located in the west valley, the golf course at Coyote Lakes Golf Club combines a desert landscape and traditional design with scenic views of the White Tank and Bradshaw Mountains. Although it is modest in length and suitable for all players, the course is still an enjoyable challenge for even advanced golfers. The front nine is more difficult than the back nine with large greens and several contours. The back nine is also challenging though with several notable holes. The fairways are undulating on both and water hazards come into play on several holes. Coyote Lakes Golf Club's signature hole is the 14th, a par-3 hole that requires a shot from an elevated tee to a green that is well protected by two sand bunkers and a lake to the left.

Nice Sunset Shot Photo submitted by shortyofak on 03/19/2014
Nice course
Well laid out course that’s more difficult than the short overall yardage would indicate. Played the back tees at 6,200 yards and it was plenty of challenge. Course was in excellent condition of both fairways and greens. Only complaint was very slow pace of play on a Saturday morning. Will definitely play again!
Be prepared to wait, maybe not finish
Great layout, facility, and friendly staff. All of this but if you have anything to do the rest of the day, better rethink your plans. Had a 1:53 tee time, didn’t tee off until around 2:10. We didn’t finish. Played 16 in the dark. There is no urgency put into the pace of play, even with a ranger roaming the course. Great course conditions, especially this time of year. Would recommend spacing out the tee sheet to avoid so much congestion on the course.
Over seed
During my visit, I noticed that the overseeded areas had grown in beautifully, giving the course a lush, vibrant appearance. The greens, while smooth and well-maintained, were a bit slower than usual, likely due to the recent overseeding process. Despite the slightly slower pace, the overall experience was fantastic. The course conditions made for an enjoyable round, and the attention to upkeep and maintenance was clear throughout the facility. I left feeling very satisfied with the visit and would definitely recommend the course to others looking for a pleasant day of golf.
Great overseed
The overseed came in great. Course was mowed down well and wasn’t muddy. Greens generally rolled smooth and were a little slow as expected due to just being a few days out of overseed closure. Lady in the shop and the guys outside were friendly as usual. Only downer was that #9 is playing from a temporary tee due to some kind of utility work. I’ll be back, I just hope they don’t get too carried away with pricing this winter. It’s an enjoyable course (especially for a short straight hitter) but not a $100+ one.
Coyote Lakes
The course was just out of overseed and the grass came in really well. Tee to green the grass is thick and lush. They did a great job with the overseed transition. It was cart path only, which I hate, but that’s what is to be expected. Greens rolled a little slow since they were not being cut low yet, but should be terrific soon. Got a hot deal so was very worth the price coming out of overseed.
Hidden Gem
Great track for anyone. My son and I had a blast with the course. The conditions were outstanding. A shame they’re about to tear it up for over seeding.
Nice, well maintained
Course was well maintained. Staff very friendly. Greens are a bit slow, but the course is green and well kept. Limited driving range.
Alex and Ken.
Played with Ken from Cave Creek. I had no trouble keeping up with this very experienced golfer. He preferred this course Coyote Lakes because of the layout and price. The staff and the people in general.
Fun Course
In spite of the heat which really wasn't too bad, we had an excellent round of golf.
The course was in excellent shape overall. The greens were medium speed and rolled pretty true.
On numerous holes, because of the sloping fairways, position is key on your tee shot.
The pace of play was very good, as we finished our round in just under 4 hours.
The staff in both the Pro Shop and the restaurant were friendly, courteous and helpful. An added bonus, we received a ticket for a sandwich at the restaurant.
The practice range was 8 irons or less.
Overall a great value on a well maintained course.
Very nice course
My first time playing this course - but it won't be the last. I was challenged more than I thought I would be by looking at the pictures online. Fun course and I will be back!
Greens Keepers Need Help
The course has immense potential! Great layout, but...
Who puts cups in the middle of a slope on a greens or on top of the crown of a ridge? Absolutely no way to get close AND miss a put and say good bye to the ball.
Tee boxes are about as level as Superstition mountain. They need to be cut and releveled SO badly. Bunkers had little to no sand. The very novice players I was with were miserable trying to get out. I have a pretty good bunker game and it was more than a challenge with less than a half inch of sand in several of them.
Cart girl was a gem. She was friendly and very upbeat, plus she hustled around the course.
