Hillcrest Golf Club at Sun City West

Great course if you’re on the fairways and greens. Right?! Haha. Roughs are rough and bunkers need sand.

A classic Sun City course fallen on hard times. Fairways in good shape as were the tee boxes and most of the greens. Bunkers like concrete and anything off the fairways was poorly maintained. Cart paths were in rough shape too. It looks like the regular customers had free reins to drive wherever they wanted. A good $55 course if I hadn’t paid spring break prices.

To four Sims in front of me had no idea how to play golf it's like they were harvesting the fairways playing from the tips very unprofessional but I jumped them and had a great day

Fairways in pretty good shape, greens are a bit quick. Cart paths should be renamed dust paths as there is really no cart paths but dirt and mud and holes....could be a really good track if they sunk some money into it but it appears to just be left alone to decay.....Optics is everything and this place is lacking in that space. but for $35 it is ok....is not a $70 golf course

This course would be so much better if it was maintained better. The course layout and the challenging holes are so much fun, unfortunately it doesn’t look that great. The fairways are the best part, the greens were close to being good but there was some patchy parts. I understand courses bump up the price for the weekend warriors but 80 dollars for this sun city course is not the price it should be at the moment. The staff is very friendly, I was just a little disappointed on how the course looked at 75-80 bucks. I’d play again if it was 30 bucks or under. Again I loved the challenging holes but if you’re not hitting fairway, you’re playing on thin dead grass or dirt. The sand traps were very rocky and hard too.

Our foursome hadn't played this course before, so playing a new layout was fun. It's mostly wide open with lots of forgiveness for novice golfers, but the holes and putting we're more than challenging. Greens, tees and fairways were in good shape but everything perimeter was pretty left to minimal care. I focus on the overall value + course rather than everything being perfect. All in all I would play there again and note it's a pretty decent place to play for all levels of golfers.

Hillcrest has come a long way from 4 years ago fairways and greens were nice only complaint is the pace of Play could be better but still played in 4 1/2 Definitely recommed
