About
The Canada Course plays through forests of mesquite trees, offering a parkland atmosphere amongst a desert landscape. The natural terrain snakes through ravines and arroyos, providing several natural hazards. Considerable mounding, doglegs and elevation changes provide a varied layout, making club selection an important factor in addition to careful strategy. Golfers should be prepared to use every club in their bag. The course’s signature hole is the eighth hole, considered one of the toughest par 3s in Tucson. The hole requires players to drive the ball uphill along a narrow ridge between two Saguaro cacti, and canyons border the greens on both sides.

very challenging
Found the course in excellent condition./ Check in and starter were very friendly and helpful. Put us with another twosome and we played in 4 1/2 hrs. We think the green conditions plus the very deep bunkers along with the elevation changes make it quite difficult for the average golfer to score well.
El Conquistor (Canada) course
The Canada Course was in outstanding shape. We thoroughly enjoyed our 18 holes.

Beautiful course - can't believe it's the desert
Very well manicured fairways and greens. Really enjoyed the play and the views.
Great golf outing
Course was in great shape, manicured fairways, greens fast and rolled true.. Twenty nine putts for 18 holes is good for me. Staff was cordial and helpful.
Freezing, Windy & Slow - Never got out of 40's
Started out OK, but couples foursome, 3 groups in front of us had course tied up. They were 4+ holes behind on back nine with no rangers on course. We skipped 2 holes (11 & 12) to jump in front of them to play out 13-18 with no one in front of us.
Nice but cold day
Course in very good condition despite cold temperatures. Staff friendly and very helpful. Paired up with two locals and we had a great time. Would play there again. Some interesting holes that are challenging
You had one job!
Day started off with the bag drop attendant putting our bags on the cart but he forgot to strap mine in. So naturally when I drove off my bag fell off damaging my driver (don’t care about that too much), my bag (don’t care about that too much either) and my putter (I am very upset about that). He then ran over and told me he couldn’t understand how that happened. I could.
Great Venue
We enjoyed a beautiful day and golf was good even with cart path only rule. The last four uphill holes make it very challenging
Great course to play
It was first day after over seeding and so we were cart path only but the course is in great shape.
Fun round!
Course in great shape. Greens a little hard. Did not have any problem getting ball to hole putting. Greens rolled real good.
Always enjoying playing the course.
El Conquistador Golf
I have played this course many times, but not lately. I was amazed at the condition of the course this time of year, it was PERFECT! It is a great course for all skill levels and I will play it every chance I get.
Tricky but fun
Lots of elevation changes for a desert course and fairway run offs. A little course knowledge will help
