About
One of two Tom Fazio-designed golf courses at this Tucson resort, the Canyon Course at The Lodge at Ventana Canyon is classic desert golf, set against the backdrop of the Sonoran Desert enhanced by its surroundings of saguaros, deer, roadrunners, quail and birds. The 6,836-yard, par-72 layout rolls through the Esperro Canyon, incorporating a massive formation known as Whaleback Rock in its design. The golf course has several memorable holes, including a couple of difficult par 3s - the 13th and 16th - as well as the reachable par-5 finishing hole, which features a man-made waterfall.

Best course I’ve played in Tucson in years
Fantastic experience. Paired with. Single and s couple.. We had a great time all.
Staff was excellent
Good time at Ventana Canyon
We played the Canyon course and the conditions were excellent. The fairways were recently over seeded and in wonderful shape. The greens were very good and tee boxes were in excellent condition. The staff was friendly and appreciated the ice chest back on the carts. It was cart path only so bring plenty of water and get ready to hike a lot!

Course was in very good shape. Unfortunately it was very path only. Wished that would've been known before making tee time.
Mountain course describes it well . Loved it
Greens in great shape , very quick . Very playable for everyone.
Poor service, great course
No cart service or water on course on a hot Sunday morning. No help with clubs after the round. Had to walk up about 24 stairs.
Great course, just expected better service for the $$.
Love this course
This course is always in excellent shape. It's a tad pricey, but going through GolfPass+ saved me a bunch of money. Thank you Ventana for an excellent golf course!
Very nice course in great condition
Would still play here, just know ahead of time they are not very friendly. We ate lunch in the golf clubhouse and one of the waiters told our waiter to not wait on us Right in front of us. Maybe my skin is too brown
What a difference between the front and back
The front’s fairways were superb.....Greens were the FASTEST I’ve EVER putted......Back 9 fairways were sub-par. Greens MUCH slower.....Grn super should ‘match’ front to back.
Smooth and green
Course is in great shape, nobody there on Wednesday at 11:00 tee time, no one behind us for 15 holes, like your own private course. Good value for the money at $76.
The black boxes have some of the best elevated and tucked away starts to holes you can find. Greens are lightning
Love the course, not in great shape
Always love the course and the layout is a challenge but the course was in need of a lot of TLC around the greens

Really an unfair review. Club service and water on course is all part of COVID restrictions, same as here in CA. I've played Ventana 4 times, both sides, and it is simply brilliant in my opinion. The price is easily justified by the course conditions.
