If putting down hill it was extremely hard to judge the correct speed. just when you thought you could read the break there was none. Extremely hard to hold the green from any kind of distance, If you like dog legs left this is your place! Now that I seen it would like to play it again.

Outing in front of big party.

Pace of play very slow. Sadly when this happens other things take a back seat like course conditions , staff, etc. Greens hard and fast. Very windy and if you had a downhill , downwind putt forget it. I had some putts roll up to hole and then roll back past where I started putt from. Pin sitters need to understand pin placement can cause slower play.

49er? More like 49 minutes late on letting us tee off! They had TWO tournaments going on at the same time and were allowing tee times to be booked. Who does this? Really bad oversight that day. I like the course but this could be improved.

Great layout, greens were in good shape. Not a complaint but some of the pins were set in places that makes one think the greenskeeper had a bad night. Also a couple of the kids working there approached our group and asked us to speed up our play(we had to wait on every hole). Turned out to be a 5 hour round. Otherwise I would recommend this course

The layout is very nice with tight fairways. The grass is a little thin and there are some year round wet spots. Greens were in best condition I have seen them in 8 years.

Keep it in the fairway or you are in trouble. The greens are tricky and the traps spring out of nowhere to keep you honest. Holes 15, 16, and 17 will try to kick you when you're down where to par any of the three makes you feel soooo good. And then the darn water on 18. An enjoyable day of soaking in the beauty of the trees and greenery.

What a treat.

Stiff Graphites are not stiff shaft steel or carbon shaft. They said club rental was $20 and charged me $12 extra for the stuff graphite shadt. That's not right. When I called they should've said that. I felt a little abused in that.

I was a +9 through 8 (45 total strokes) and had 54 at that point the previous time I played. I love the challenging nature of the course and the mythos of one of the all time greats getting an 11 on 11! Plus the staff keeps it looking great which really helps my swing.

Another great round at the ole 49er. I will be back. Interesting course layout being integrated into a neighborhood. Some challenging holes and some "let er rip!" holes. Good challenges and great fun.
