Crooked Tree Golf Course in Tucson has a traditional layout in a secluded, peaceful location with no homes around the course for miles. The golf course features player-friendly, generous fairways and small greens that are surrounded by ample chipping areas. Located in the Sonoran Desert, there are ironwoods, mesquites, and saguaros situated throughout, providing a beautiful landscape and a relaxing atmosphere. It is no wonder that Crooked Tree Golf Course is one of the most popular public golf courses in Arizona.

Bad golf course
Seriously, in Arizona at +100 degrees and no water on the holes. 2 water fountains at the restrooms. Really!!! A group of 4 men were 4 holes behind the group in front of them and no ranger to tell them to catch up or get off the course. We waited on every hole on the back 9 for a good 10 minutes. The price of golf wasn’t that much less then the excellent course we played on Tuesday at El Conquistador.

Pleasantly surprised
Many courses are in poor shape this time of year in Tucson area. Crooked Tree was in the best shape I've ever seen. Fairways, tees and greens all beautiful. Greens were a little slow but entire course was nicely manicured.

What Happened to the Bunkers?
Apparently people were complaining about the quality of the bunkers, but rather than fix them management decided to fill them in with grass! Which obviously changes the entire character of the course and makes it much less challenging. It isn't reflected on the score card yet, but the slope and rating will have to be adjusted way down. This will make new players and high handicappers happy, but for those seeking a challenge there are better (and cheaper) tracks available in the area.

pleasantly surprised
while this was not a very difficult course, there are some very enjoyable holes, such as 9, over a pond. terrific. excellent shape for summer in arizona. a terrific course for an average player
not a fan of grass bunkers, but im guessing a cost factor in terms of maintenance.

Very nice course and bang for your buck
Liked the course and the price, but the greens were very slow and the pace of play was very slow.
