Rating 73.7

The Club at Starr Pass offers 27 holes of championship golf that have been host to legends such as Arnold Palmer and Phil Mickelson. The holes are divided into three nines that are played in three different 18-hole combinations. One of these combinations is Coyote/Roadrunner. Coyote is the club's signature course and while the Roadrunner nine might be the shortest, it has plenty of elevation changes. Both golf courses are carved from the scenic Tucson Mountains, providing golfers with a diverse landscape that is abundant with jackrabbits, quail, and deer. In addition to the three nines, there is also a double-loaded driving range and a practice area with putting and chipping greens.

Great Course!

I thoroughly enjoyed playing 18 holes at Star Pass. The first nine was the Coyote and the second nine was the Rattler. The Rattler was much more difficult. Plan on bringing extra balls. The scenery was breathtaking and we saw quite a bit of wildlife, coyote, deer, javelinas, road runners and a bobcat. The staff was friendly and the service was excellent.

Breathtakingly Beautiful Course

This is a beautiful course in great condition. We encountered deer on several holes, who acted as if they owned the course. :-) It was just a great day out in nature on a superbly maintained course.

Disappointed

First of all, the restaurant was not open for breakfast, it didn’t open till 11 am.

Cart path only on one 9, the fairways were hard.

Eddie, the starter was great, he did all he could to get us out early cause we got to the course so we could eat & since we couldn’t, we had to wait around.

Door Bell

The GPS in the cart uses a doorbell tone which is extremely annoying. Add the fact that it chimes in with notices that the cart must be returned or the cart will shut down by 5:30 really did nothing to enhance our experience. Loose the doorbell and the you must be done by 5:30 routine. Golf is not played in the dark.

The Average rating is the result if the above annoyances.

Beautiful day

We played the coyote and roadrunner courses. They are both in beautiful shape and fun to play. Carol on the treat truck was great. The golf shop was lovely. Only challenge was the restaurant wasn’t open for breakfast ahead of time.

Coyote Course New Favorite

We played Coyote Course and Roadrunner course yesterday. Check-in was easy and frinedly. The golf carts were clean and well maintained. The course itself was just beautiful. Pace of play was good. This is one of the most beautiful courses that we play. Roadrunner has several holes that are difficult for me to carry so I just move my ball to the front of my green and usually make it over. Having said that, I play for FUN and don't take things too seriously. You will enjoy.

Mixed feelings

First time playing it this time of year;. Usually down for vacation in March when conditions then are much better. Still lots of damage from the summer heat??. Not sure if this is the reason. Expected higher quality based on many years of coming down to play. Still a wonderful course to play with the best vistas of any course around Tucson.

Nice place to spend a day golfing

Coyote 9 was in perfect shape for time of year.

Roadrunner was a bit of a disappointment though.

Would still come back at some point.
