The River Club

Lots of play because of the price, means a lot of damage on tee boxes and greens. Pretty short with smaller greens. Amenities are pretty good, no cart out in the later afternoon.

For the first 9 holes had a 5 some in front of us.

We definitely play again.

Booked a tee time for 1:16 and arrived early to go to the driving range.

Upon arrival, we learned our tee time had been changed to 1:32 without any advance notice.

Had to wait a good 15 minutes for someone to take us to the range as no carts available.

Nice layout but the greens were slow and somewhat bumpy.

One of the best public courses that we’ve played in the area

For starters the round took 5 hours & 20 minutes, second I’ve played for 40 plus years and have never been told not even asked that we are going to stick a fifth player with you from the start totally unacceptable worst round that I have ever had to play will never go back 👎👎👎👎👎

It’s nice to have a course where you almost always know what you are going to get in all these categories.

Local public course with a forgiving amount of room on most holes. Fair to Good condition but improving recently especially on the greens. Good Value but slow play resulting in a 5:30 round. Tough to get a rhythm going due to the long waits on most holes. Overall, I liked the layout and enjoyed the course.

Staff were very friendly. Course was in good shape. Greens rolled well. Very reasonable green fees for what you get. Will definitely go back. If there was one negative is the course was very wet despite not having rain for several days.

Played here while on holiday with some friends who are also visiting. First time playing here and very impressed. All the staff were really friendly and helpful. Course marshal was great, and stopped to have a chat with us a couple of times and told us where we might see some alligators on the course. Thought the course was in great condition and really enjoyed the layout, lots of really interesting holes with no two alike. We played on a Sunday afternoon, so had fully expected it to be a bit busy, however after we called a couple of two-balls through early on we pretty much had the course to ourselves. Pace of play was excellent. We probably took a bit longer than we should (8 minutes over pace according to cart gps) but we were enjoying the scenery, and as there was no one in front or behind us, it didn’t matter. We’ve played some more expensive courses over here and this was just as good, so real value for money. I’d recommend the course to anyone and may well play here again before we return home.

I really like the layout. Played white for the first time. I think I would prefer something between White and blue. Course is very wet but we enjoyed our round. Would have been better at 3 - 3.5 hours with a 7:08 tee time. One group in front of us and we waited on almost every hole.
