The Preserve Golf Club at Tara features Ted McAnlis' par 72, championship golf course. Exceptional care was taken to protect and enhance wetlands and other natural features of the course. At just over 7,000 yards, the course offers four sets of tees, allowing players of all skill levels to enjoy a challenging round of golf. Eleven bridges span the many small streams running through the golf course, protecting natural waterfalls and wetland habitats. A unique feature is the 60 foot Mount Matthew, which sits between the driving zones of hole five and six and forms an impressive backdrop for the tee shot. A beautiful clubhouse is open for lunch daily and is perfect for seminars, banquets or receptions.

Horrible condition

Tee boxes are bare, temporary greens made in the fairways not much better. No way you could seriously play this course in the shape it’s in. I quit after 8 holes. Don’t waste the fuel to drive there or the hot deals money to play it.

Sometimes you drive an hour to go try out a new golf course. And sometimes you learn you don’t ever wanna play there again.

Only two green’s operable.

This course should be closed. It is the worst course I ever played on. Fairways are a disaster and greens all under repair except two. I’m surprised that Golf Now is offering this course to its customers!

Course is a beautiful tract, winding its way around a nature preserve beautifully. Great layout. Course was broken down, 13 temporary greens! Crying shame!

Good potential but not there yet.

My wife and I enjoyed playing the course because we could play at our own pace. The temporary greens were not good at all but we could see that the course will improve dramatically once the repair work on the greens is completed. We had some difficulty navigating the course since the greens were not always where they were indicated. But it was fun overall and we would consider playing there again.

Temporary greens are still the bad part .

Fairways t boxes very good.

Staff very friendly , interesting and challenging layout with water everywhere. And fastest pace i played all season ,done in 2 5hrs.

Tara Preserve In Upgrade

Enjoyed playing Tara even though the greens are being upgraded and they are currently using temporary greens. While the upgrade is going on, the fairways are great and the course presents a good opportunity to play and practice your tee to green play. And the price reflects the use of temporary greens making this an affordable course to play.

Keep up the recovery!

We have been coming somewhat regularly for the past year. The owners are starting to turn the corner and the course is coming back 8n shape. Still a ways to go but they will get there.
