Highlands Reserve Golf Club
About
Mike Dasher's Highlands Reserve (opened 1998) is suggestive and irresistible. The course sits on the edge of a long sand shelf called the Green Swamp Ridge near the town of Davenport, spanning 120 feet from top to bottom. Dasher's holes fairly dance around it, two-stepping from a high point at the first green all the way to the low basin of the 13th fairway.
You will find pine tree-lined fairways reminiscent of the Carolinas, open spacious fairways likened to the great Scottish courses, and a bit of old Florida with citrus trees along the countryside.

Great for the ego
The course is very nice, and very easy. If you want to hit the best score of your life this is the place. The clubhouse guy told me it would be easy, but I doubted him as I suck. Then I made 5 15 to 20 foot putts and chipped one in from 40ft.
Solid and reliable
After a few difficult years, Highlands Reserve is back to its reliable. The welcome is always friendly from the check in to the cart man, from the cafe staff to the green staff. As we approach winter, the fairways and greens still show little sign of over-use. Pace of play is excellent, and whilst it’s not over-challenging in design or hazards, it’s a challenging length for all standards.
Excellent course
Course was in excellent condition. Grass was well maintained. Would highly recommend.
Perfect even after a Storm!
We played here just HOURS after Hurricane Helene passed through and the course was still in great shape! The course drains really well so if you ever want to find a place to play after a heavy rain storm, just play here! And I don’t know what type of grass they have on their greens but they are perfect! They do roll a tad bit slow though, but the conditions are perfect. And the course is priced lower than most courses in Central FL so the value can’t be beat.
Highland Reserve
Great layout. Located on 27 between 192 and I4. Easily accessible from theme parks. One of my go to courses.
Good value and good course
The course is always in good condition and is a good place to play during our rainy season because it drains well.
You are wrong
I booked a teatime for three people one didn’t show up the other two of us did and now you want to charge me for the one that didn’t show up doesn’t seem right
England returns
First time back since the nines changed around, but thoroughly enjoyed it.
Looking to play again before we head back to Blighty
Highlands Reserves greens
While the overall condition of the course is in good condition for the money the greens are one step away from putting on astroturf. They are really fuzzy and really slow compared to most courses in Orlando. But overall for the money it's well worth the drive.
No off season specials
Booking fee for every tee time. Service charge added to any booking. Not Florida resident friendly. Luke warm water in coolers on course.
Even better the second time around
What an absolutely fantastic experience! The elevation changes throughout the course added an exciting challenge and made for some truly breathtaking views. The greens were impeccably maintained and provided a perfect, albeit challenging, test of my putting skills. I loved every moment on this course and can't wait to return for another round. Highly recommended for any golf enthusiast!
Very good value for the money
While the course doesn't have to many dangers, it makes up with some tight fairways and small undulating greens ! Great value for the money, paid $39.99 when booked online to play after 12:00, including a buggy. Great staff.
Feel good golf course
Not much in degree of difficulty. Some tree gone and traps. Green #7 lost some character. Always dry, built to run golfers though fast.
