About
Mike Dasher's Highlands Reserve (opened 1998) is suggestive and irresistible. The course sits on the edge of a long sand shelf called the Green Swamp Ridge near the town of Davenport, spanning 120 feet from top to bottom. Dasher's holes fairly dance around it, two-stepping from a high point at the first green all the way to the low basin of the 13th fairway.
You will find pine tree-lined fairways reminiscent of the Carolinas, open spacious fairways likened to the great Scottish courses, and a bit of old Florida with citrus trees along the countryside.

Great course in very good condition
Staff was very helpful and very nice greens and fairways were in very good condition pin placements were very hard to get to but that's what golf is all about

Great layout and value
The greens are in good shape but very slow. They don't allow you to bring your own drinks on the course but then they don't have a beverage cart which is always a mystery to me in 95 degree summer heat. Good layout and friendly staff, fun course.

Wow so much improved
Kind of wrote HR off our play list because the conditions were not good. Course is in great shape now. Greens are as good as any course around. Definitely play again.

Highland Reserve
Tee boxes could use some work but for links style course rough and fairways were in great condition. Greens are what made the course, holding and true with above average speed. Great fun for all players with multiple handicaps.

Rolling fairways
Most Florida courses are flat as a pool table. This was not, and as a result was very enjoyable. Undulating greens were a bit slow, but after a couple holes were easy to figure out. Enjoyable round of 3 hours for a threèsome.

Good value. Slowest greens ever.
Started off being forced to pair with another twosome that pulled the flag several times before we were on the green and insisted on everyone putting without it. Would have been a lot more fun round if we weren’t forced with incompatible players. Wide open behind us and being paired with them slowed us down drastically. Thumbs down to the starter for that.
The tee boxes and fairways were in good condition. Lot of weeds if you found the rough and while the greens looked great and the undulation was cool they were the slowest greens I’ve ever played to the point putting wasn’t fun. Overall for the money ($28 after coupon) it was a good value and worth playing at least that time.

Great Florida Course
Great course for Central Florida. Even though its in a neoghborhood the houses arent in play. Lots of elevated tees and uphill approaches. Good layout but pace of play gets really backed up on the 2nd 9.
