About
Mike Dasher's Highlands Reserve (opened 1998) is suggestive and irresistible. The course sits on the edge of a long sand shelf called the Green Swamp Ridge near the town of Davenport, spanning 120 feet from top to bottom. Dasher's holes fairly dance around it, two-stepping from a high point at the first green all the way to the low basin of the 13th fairway.
You will find pine tree-lined fairways reminiscent of the Carolinas, open spacious fairways likened to the great Scottish courses, and a bit of old Florida with citrus trees along the countryside.

Always good
Good course, excellent staff, good layout. Improved a lot since last year. Will play it again next time in Orlando
No water coolers allowed
Signs say that people are bringing alcoholic beverages onto the course in coolers so their solution is to not let any coolers on the course if you do you will be asked to leave with no refund. Why punish all for the fault of a few. Proshop closed at 3 pm, water coolers on the course taste like hose water and are not cold. Just check the coolers to insure there is no alcohol in them. There can't be that many with only maybe 40 rounds a day.
Course is in hood condition except for the bunkers which seem to be mostly dirt.
Staff was friendly.

Nice improvement
I played here last year also in August. The overall course is better especially the greens. Really enjoyed the round. Excellent staff!

Fast and Fun
Course was in good shape. Greens were true and I played 18 in under 3 hours. All staff were great. Not the best track in the world but if you want to have a quick fun round for an affordable price it checks those boxes.

Orlando Golf
Very nice course. If staying in Orlando vicinity it’s well worth the drive to play this course and avoid the crowds and over priced courses of the Disney/Universal Parks. You will not be disappointed.

Nice course for the money
I’ve played this course twice in the last couple of months. Price was great compared to others. The only complaint I have was the greens were very slow. But I do plan on playing it again!

Highland Reserve
One of my go to courses. Love the layout. Bunkers need work. Greens put slow. Cart girl needs to be instructed not to drive towards people hitting on the tee and driving pass when they are hitting off the fairway and putting on the green.

Very little hazards, no excuses for bad play. Greens slow. Staff always friendly.

Best Shape Of Any Course I've Played This year
Played HR in the past and always had a good experience but this past time was exceptional. As always the service is great , from the check-in ladies to the cart men. Played as a single and I was a little early, but out I went as there were two times open in front of my scheduled time. I was a little hesitant as most of the area courses were cart path only due to 3 days of heavy rain. Called ahead and assured that the course drained well and NO restrictions. From tee to green in wonderful condition with the greens the best I've ever encountered at this course. Since I drive all over and play all different courses I take special notes of the ones who combine excellent service with great conditions. HR you have moved up to #1 on my list this month. Congrats!
