The course is in great condition. The pace of play was a bit slower than usual, but the weather was great and the beverage cart came around multiple times during our round.

Only complaint is I got charged for the 4th that did not show up. Oh well. Live and learn.

Should have canceled the day before I guess.

Foursome played in under four hours. Fun layout. Will play again. Course in good condition.

I’ve played this course many times before but this was by far the best shape it’s ever been in. From tees to greens, everything was in great shape. The greens are usually slow here, but not this time. I’m very impressed with the improvements that have been made. And the price was very reasonable compared to other courses in Central FL.

This course, although not a top flight course, was nice and dry making it a nice break from the wet conditions on other course. It is a little bit higher up so not much water, and much drier conditions.

New greens have really come into their own. Could be a little faster. Great layout and fun to play. Easily reachable from theme parks area.

My wife and I have been coming down to Davenport in October for five years. The course had fallen into disrepair and was not in good condition for the last couple years. They have completely reworked several of the greens re-done many of the bunkers and all in all brought this course back to excellent shape. We enjoyed playing today tremendously, and will be back regularly and bring our friends!

We played this for the first time yesterday. The staff are really friendly and helpful. The ladies in the pro shop especially. The course was fairly dry even after all the rain. The greens were slow as it looked like they had recently been top dressed. Nice layout and interesting features. Love the tortoises. Not the longest course in the world but ideal for some relaxing holiday golf.

Returning for first time since the course has been switched. Always one of our favourites while visiting and still there. Course in good condition, especially the greens.

Shout out for the starters couldn't do enough

This was the best condition I have ever seen this course. Can’t wait to play it again. Highly recommend.

What a difference a year makes. HR is now a joy to play. A friendly and helpful greeting, and a well stocked reception are the perfect start. Tees are all nicely manicured. The greens had just been dressed when we played, but the greens staff had quickly watered this in. Additional use of a green iron (we watched them early one morning) has transformed these into true running greens that react to good shots as they should. We will definitely play here again during our vacation and I recommend others try it. Pace of play was good (4-ball off white tees at 3h 40m). Fairways have good growth on them.

Finally, whoever planned the course maintenance and re-design project needs a big pat on the back for a job very well done.

This was my first round at Highland Reserve and I will definitely be back. The fairways were in good shape and the greens were smooth, though the new grass type is much slower than the Bermuda greens I usually play on. That meant a lot of putts came up short, even when I thought I blasted them past the hole. It also meant high shots to the greens stopped quickly so if the approach was on target, great results. Chips and pitches would keep running on some greens. I love the open fairways so misses were not severely penalized, though the rough was dense but not long. No lost balls was a definite positive to playing the course. The elevation changes can provide some challenges on approach shots.

I play Highlands Reserve about six times each year. It's in the best condition I've seen in 3+ years. It's a fun layout as it has lots of elevation changes and a wide variety of holes. It's challenging for good golfers yet forgiving to higher handicaps as the fairways are mostly wide and there are no water hazards. #4 through #7 are really fun holes as is the entire back 9. I wish they didn't flatten the Biarritz green on the seventh hole when they re-did the greens last year. That was a fun green. Now it's rather plain.
