Greens were true, fairways are poor and most tee boxes were rough.
Too many weeds and sand in the fairways. Felt like we were in the desert on some holes.
Course was interesting but needed some care, maybe more water, better turf conditions.
Interesting course layout with very little impact of the residential surroundings. Greens had been over seeded and were a little fuzzy and slow. Fairways needed more grass, water?? We weren't sure if these conditions were typical of April golf in Daytona Beach. We enjoyed our game and felt for most of the round that it was our own private golf course.
A "Tired" Course That Needs LOTS of Attention
I have played Indigo Lakes for 30 years at different times of the year. They have been through highs and lows but this was the worst condition that I've seen since playing there. The tee boxes "almost" have grass, the fairways are thin, and the greens are FULL of Poa annua. Just not a lot of fun even for a the rate ... LOTS of other courses in the area have better conditions ...
Really nice layout.
Very nice design, in a real estate development, but you see relatively few houses. Well bunkered, lots of slope on the greens. In desperate need of increased maintenance spending. Tees very rough, fairways very thin, lots of jungle like rough not very far off the fairway. Bunker edges collpasing in many spots. A really nice course in need of TLC.
The course was in great condition.
I had a great time playing this course in a reasonable time. The course is in real good condition. The staf were nice. The drinks were stiff.I would refer other people to play his course.
Fairways were rough but greens smooth
Good value with discount. fairways are a little rough
Never again!!!
Worst day of golf in 40+ years. I have been in the golf business for years and have never been treated so badly. The young man at the front desk was cordial but not familiar with Golf Now reservations, rate structure, coupon applicability. His supervisor was rude and callous. He embarrassed me in front of my group and was unbending in feeble attempt to make this day of golf a fun and enjoyable experience. Then to top it off, we were schooled by the cart attendant, who was not at the bag drop when we arrived, on how to unload our clubs and begin our round. Course itself was not better. Looks like nobody there really cares.
Generous Fairways
There is a good design to this course and while it is certainly possible to drive the ball into trouble, the fairways are generous enough to make it quite playable for all levels of golfer. I would have no hesitation returning to this course.
Great layout, convenient location, friendly staff
I've played this course for 20+ years. Very convenient. Played Friday as a practice round, then found good price on golfnow (the following day) $25 at 11:45 on a Saturday during BikeWeek. Love the layout. Tee boxes are in their usual state of repair/need of grass. Fairways are dry as a bone but a little rain would help big time. Greens were the best I've seen them in years. Beverage cart on Friday, not Saturday? Actually many more people on Friday than Saturday, but still a fairly quick round both days.
fun layout - greens are acceptable
played Saturday morning and paid peak rate. Course was fine pace was great. Would have been happier if it were a few dollars less. Better courses in the area for the same or less money.
Good value
Layout is simple, some interesting holes on the back nine. We needed two sets of rentals and those were not satisfactory. None of the clubs matched and most were damaged. I realize rentals will not be the best clubs, but these were really bad.
very nice course for the money
first time at this course. found the staff very friendly. the greens were a little bumpy, but the overall condition of the course really wasn't bad. generous fairways. would play there again.
This course was deceptive. It does not have a lot of hazards but plays very tough.
The course was in real good shape. The greens were fast. It is not a punishing course with too much water or long forced carries. It is a difficult course to score low however. Good for many types of golfers. Pace was a little slow but I would definitely play this course again.
Good challenging course
Indigo is a challenging layout, mainly small greens, difficult around the greens.
This course needs serious work
This course needs serious work, it seems to have been left to its own demise. The course layout isn't bad but the fairways have sparse grass and the greens although fast have very little grass, they are like putting on packed sand. I will not go back, to me it wasn't worth the27.00; for that price I can play area courses that are in much better shape.
Better than our expectations. An enjoyable day of golf.
Would recommend. A bit of Carolina in Florida. Conditions for winter were great.
A good test of the average golfer's skills.
The course is in pretty good shape. Fairways are healthy and the greens are in excellent condition - very fast. The bunkers leave a bit to be desired - not very well manicured - and the tee boxes are a bit on the scruffy side as well. Other than that though, we thoroughly enjoyed our round at Indigo Lakes. The course has generous landing areas off the tee and well bunkered greens. For golfers of our handicap (14 and 16), this was a fun course to play.
This is a good course to play!
This is a good solid course to play for the money. The course design is fair to the average golfer and challenging enough for the more accomplished golfer. My wife particular liked it because the ladies' tees were fairly distanced (the last course we played was not equitable for women relative to the men's tees.) If you spray the ball around a lot, then find another course that is wide open (there are not many); as a straight hitter, I had no problem for 17 of the 18 holes. Also, water is not an overwhelming obstacle and so I felt that my wife and I could enjoy the round - we each lost only a single golf ball. The greens were in great shape and were visible from the fairway, giving you a good view to shape your shot.
