Disney's Palm Golf Course
About
The 18-hole Palm Course at Walt Disney World Golf Resort in Lake Buena Vista, FL is a resort golf course that opened in 1971. Designed by Joe Lee and Rocky Roquemore, Palm Course at Walt Disney World Golf Resort measures 6840 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 134 and a 73.3 USGA rating. The course features 4 sets of tees for different skill levels. Greens and fairways are bermuda grass.
The natural Florida woodlands provide a stunning backdrop to one of America's premier resort courses. Architect, Joe Lee, designed the 6,870-yard Palm with elevated tees and greens. The key ingredient, of course, was the Florida palm and he made good use of nearly every variety for aesthetic and strategic purposes. Its fairways are crafted through a pine forest of mature, natural woodlands that includes moss-dappled oak, maple and cypress trees. Palmetto scrub fills the forest floor. It boasts of more than its share of water and sand with nine water holes and 94 bunkers.
This is a perfect choice for everything from a casual round to a large group outing.

Great course
Great course in excellent condition. Pace of play was a little slow at times but overall not bad especially considering it was a holiday. Staff is very friendly and rental clubs were nice.
Lots of Divots
Beautiful course have played it before but not as impressed this time. Sooo many divots and even though they don't repair them looks like they haven't been picked up for many days. Expected a bit more from Disney property. Kind of like finding garbage on Main Street in Disney World. Slightly Over priced.
Favorite
The Palm is my favorite course at Disney World. Greens were in great shape and the raps were all raked and fluffy. Beautiful golf course and lots of fun to play.
Lovely Course
Strikes a great balance of excellent quality and reasonably challenging. If you miss the fairway, you lose your ball. Very high quality of maintenance and lovely staff. Good walking course.
Much check out if in Orlando!
🌴 If you're a golfer who loves expansive greens and lush fairways, this course is a must do. The greens here are larger than most, giving each putt a little more difficulty in precision. 🏌️♂️⛳
💧Disney's Palm Golf Course isn't afraid to challenge you with large water hazards. You'll encounter water on nearly every hole. Sometimes multiple times per hole!
⛳ But what truly sets this course apart are holes 13-16. They're not just golf holes; they're golfing masterpieces. Scenic, stunning, and strategically designed. From vast water hazards covering a drivable par 4 and the best risk-reward par 5 you've ever seen, these holes are where golfing dreams are truly tested. 🌟
🏌️♀️ So, if you're ready to embrace the challenge and beauty of Disney's Palm Golf Course, make sure to put it on your golfing bucket list. It's an experience that blends the magic of Disney with the artistry of golf.
Disney Palm 5 stars
Great golf course with a fair price. Top grade Taylor Made rentals. They could use a new restaurant for after golf. Arnie’s locker is available for viewing at no charge.
Palm
Played this course many times over the years but felt it wasn’t in its best condition on this occasion.
Hopefully things will improve into the spring.
Not Magical
The course was in horrible condition and shouldn’t have been open to public. I understand that it rained the previous few days, but we should have been warned when paying in excess of $170. I even asked when checking in about the course conditions and I was literally lied to. The grass on the tee box was higher than the face of my driver and the course was under water. We voiced our concerns after the round, and we were basically told to buzz off. The staff was very rude. What irritated me even more is that the manager couldn’t even bother take his sun glasses off (while inside the club house) to speak to me like a paying customer. As a native Floridian, I will never spend another dollar at Disney’s golf courses. Wasn’t very magical.
Taken advantage of
I’ve written many reviews on Google for various businesses. This is the first time I’m writing a negative review for a business.
Absolutely terrible customer service, coming from an organization that is all about creating “magical experiences”.
The course should have been closed. It rained non stop all week leading up to our tee time.
We were not warned that the tee box grass would be longer than the rough.
The fairways were drenched, so much so that every tee shot resulted that landed in the fairways resulted in a search for a plugged ball.
What really bothers me is that we weren’t given any warning before paying about the conditions. Course should have been closed. Shame on Disney for taking peoples money when the course was in these conditions.
I’m a Florida resident. They also charged me the out of state rate. Never asked at check in if we were local.
Seriously disappointed in an organization that should be all about transparency and taking care of their customers.
Make sure you ask a lot of questions before booking your round. Because they sure as heck won’t volunteer anything.
Not bad as a hot deal
Nice condition and layout and pace of play. Pricey but almost worth it if you can get a hot deal.
Slow Pace
Disney Palms is one of 3 courses in the Disney golf world. Parking is easy, and checking in at the clubhouse was a breeze. The price was great for what you get, however be careful - the booking here says you get a meal included... you don't get anything and the employees here argue with customers over it. If it wasn't for the starter, Tim, we probably would have made a bigger deal about it but Tim was amazing and easily the best employee at the course (he's the only reason they got 3 stars for staff, they would've gotten 1 without him). The course is nice, taken care of but a bit overwatered. Carts were really nice and have GPS/bluetooth. Pace of play was pretty bad, and after the first few holes, we never saw a marshal coming around keeping people going. We waited about 4-6 minutes per hole once we hit the back 9. Overall it's a nice course, but Orlando has plenty of other ones with nicer staff and better pace.
Enjoyable round….. But
Played with my elder father as part of an annual golf trip to Orlando. Start with the good…. Cart attendant upon arrival was great, pro shop staff were kind and hospitable, starter was a very personal veteran who we engaged in a nice conversation prior to our round and who was visible throughout the day. Course was in good condition and was fair for my Father playing the forward tees. Greens, fairways and tee boxes were all in good condition and the course was laid out well with large landing areas. Not a lot of trouble to be had if you are hitting the ball decently.. the bad…. Pace of play. As we waited on every tee block with 3 groups on every hole. We started our day at 1pm and finished 18 in the dark after a. 5 hour plus round. We played on a Sunday so hopefully through the week the course spreads out the pairings appropriately..
