Length 6870 yards
Slope 131
Rating 73.7

The 18-hole Palm Course at Walt Disney World Golf Resort in Lake Buena Vista, FL is a resort golf course that opened in 1971. Designed by Joe Lee and Rocky Roquemore, Palm Course at Walt Disney World Golf Resort measures 6870 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 131 and a 73.7 USGA rating. The course features 4 sets of tees for different skill levels. Greens and fairways are bermuda grass.

The natural Florida woodlands provide a stunning backdrop to one of America's premier resort courses. Architect, Joe Lee, designed the 6,870-yard Palm with elevated tees and greens. The key ingredient, of course, was the Florida palm and he made good use of nearly every variety for aesthetic and strategic purposes. Its fairways are crafted through a pine forest of mature, natural woodlands that includes moss-dappled oak, maple and cypress trees. Palmetto scrub fills the forest floor. It boasts of more than its share of water and sand with nine water holes and 94 bunkers.

This is a perfect choice for everything from a casual round to a large group outing.

Nice course but not exceptional

If I paid anything close to the normal full fee to play this course I would be upset. It’s a Disney course so it caters to tourists, they are not too picky. The pace of play is terrible, there are many new golfers and it slows it down but that’s to be expected with the Disney tourists. It bothered me that they hit off mats on the range, especially for a course that charges $150+ for a round of golf. Hitting off matts just messes with my iron play, so I’m biased. The condition of the course I good, better than many of the public courses but not to the level of a private course. It’s a nice course but just not exceptional.

Amazing

Amazing, as is expected with any of the Disney facilities. Tee times were spread out enough, allowing a comfortable pace and not feel rushed by the group behind. One recommendation that I have is to take your time and read all the signs on the course…there is quite a bit of history regarding its stint on the PGA Tour.

I look forward to not only playing this course again, but also its sister course, The Magnolia.

Good Track!

The Palm is a solid, straightforward track with no tricks or gimmicks. It’s in good shape from tee to green and offers an enjoyable and fair challenge of one’s golf skills so long as you play the correct set of tees commensurate with your ability. The greens are smooth, healthy and devoid of severe undulations. For me, the greens were a bit slower than I prefer but they rolled true. My one criticism is that some of the cups looked like they had been cut with a dull butter knife as they were ragged, grassy and indented around the edges. I might also add that the pace of play was good. So, if you are visiting Disney and are looking for a golfing diversion to the parks, you’re not going to find a better place to scratch your golfing itch!

On arrival we were told it was cart path only which was a disappointment as this was the first we knew and would have changed our mind and played somewhere else, having said that the greens we’re great and the layout is very good

Fairways were wet and required cart path only at this moment. It maintained well.

Greens were kind of slow speed.

Shape of each holes were very unique and nice view.

Sand’s traps were some holes very hard because of rainfall.

It maintained well and enjoyed even if it was wet all of the courses.

Nice Course - Slow pace

Maybe I expected too much from Disney but no staff at bag drop or when we came back. No directions or welcome. Cart stopped working half way down the 1st fairway. First 7 holes 1 hour 15 minutes next 2 holes 1 hour. After that I had enough and quit. Staff couldn’t care less

Always fun at wdw

Pace was great. General condition was very good. Greens had a small amt of sand after they were tined. They were pretty slow. Would have been nice to see them rolling a little faster

Hot weather
Used cart

What can you say. It's a Disney course.

The Palm is a beautiful course. The only reason I didn't give all 5 stars was because it was wet. It played long after a hard rain the day before, and it was cart path only, which made it even longer. There are several soaked, sloppy bunkers, but other than that, the course is beautifully manicured. For a hot deal, a joy to play.

Disney’s Palm course

Fairways are in good shape the greens are in good shape also the challenge is to get on green in regulation. The fairways are wide enough to give the average player a decent chance to score low overall it’s a very nice course to play.

Management disappoints

Wish I could say that our 9th annual trip to these courses will make a 10th however not sure if the leadership turnover with Disneys golf courses and lack of professionalism will bring us back. Courses were fine but like many reviews here staff is just aloof. Pace of play issues abound and when there are openings such as our early morning time in which we actually finished in under 3:45 we were scolded to keep up with the group in front of us(who were a 3some and our cart timer had us 28 minutes ahead of pace at the time). I gave my information to one of the managers for the aloof staff and poor situation (beyond the above issue) including my email and phone number yet no one reached out.

If this is how management treats guests with no communication when issues arise then I’ll find another course group in a highly competitive travel market.

Buyer beware…

Beware of 5 somes and no Marshalls

Course was in great shape. However, staff is limited or untrained to deal with guests playing in 5somes. There was a 5 some in front of us and behind us. No player assistant in sight. Even, called for them on the computer. Never showed up. Be prepared for a slow round.
